Talking Finally! Decent Times...

After an initial struggle with my car to perform, it finally decided to give in under the cool weather and make me proud! There was a 10 degree lowering of temp between the day at the 1/4 mile track and the day at the 1/8 mile track (72 and 62 degrees respectively).

Orlando Speed World Dragway

60' ... 2.108
330 ... 5.944
1/8 ... 9.025
MPH ... 80.21
1000 ... 11.643
1/4 ... 13.839
MPH ... 102.52

Central Florida Racing Complex

60' ... 2.065
MPH ... 83.76
660 ... 8.655

What I'm particularly happy about, is the comparison between my 1/8 mile slip, and scottywheels' 1/4 mile slip.

Two Questions?

Did you pull the 5 and 20 fuses before?

Are you spinning your wheels a lot?

I still say you should be faster.

Not saying you're not driving it correctly. I'm SURE you are. It's an auto, and you've had plenty of practice.

Yep, I did it before. TWICE.

Yep!!!

I know I can be... waiting for that 50 degree weather. But did you compare my 1/8 slip to scottywheels 1/4 slip? My mph is higher... proof that I can be faster still

Nice time.
And yes, its a solid low 13 sec run.

And you're right about the temps. The L99 and LS3 love cooler air. I know a guy that ran .5 ( .5 tenth faster) in the 1/4 mile with no other changes but cooler air (90 degree day vs 70 degree day) (same 60' times) and no power mods.

You'd better cut a lite or your libel to get beat by a V6!
