Oil Drain Plug Torque

Went down to my local WallMart with two cases of Mobile 1 in the trunk for my first 1500 mile Oil change. Well apparently they don't have the torque specks for the drain plug and can't do the change.
Any one came across the torque specs? Nothing in the manual.

I got a pretty good deal on Mobile 1 Oil at Costco. Case with 6 pints was $33 and they had a $10 off coupon so $22 per case. Limit 3 cases which I naturally bought 3.

Haha hope you mean quarts. 1 pint = 0.5 quarts. Though, you can drink a few pints while you let the quarts drain.

Thanks for the info on Costco, I'm gonna have to get my buddy to go grab me a few cases as well if the deal is still going!

My dealer doesn't mind people in the shop, so I watched them do the change the first time. He didn't even use a torque wrench of any kind. Seemed to just turn it till it was tight and gave it a little extra tap for good measure and called it good.

Just snug it up good - one slight pull with a short ratchet. You do not want to overtighten and damage the threads.
