Ok, since I saw no specs on 0-60 times or quarter mile ET's, I made a couple quick calculations and the 422 hp 6.2 liter with a manual should get an ET of 12.84 with a 0-60 time of 4.4 seconds. Just calculations based on specs given...real world times could vary.

How cool would it be for them to put this in the "ignition" video and then pull the rug out from under everyone by not offering it?

The scallops that I'm refering to is the same as the "hockey stripes."
Thx.

think paddle shifters. . .

remote start is keyless start. and it will probably come standard on automatics. no option for manuals.

fbodfather has confirmed (4:30am today) that a SS with the RS trim would have a RED SS Badge. So that means there will be a SS/RS. His response was a result of my posting speculating that the SS (Z/28 ) badge will overide a RS Badge like it did in the 1st Gen Camaros.

With an SS/RS you will not see any RS badge. You will have the different options that the RS provides to differentiate between a standard SS and a SS/RS.

it says underneath
"Preproduction model shown. Actual subject to change"

That's why I said to the fine print. a chopped image was confirmed to be just a chop, even though it's on the spec sheet. =(

HUD would be fun to watch when you're slideways or making a dent in the seat with your back though.

I was on the border with 3740 but at close to 3900 pounds, it's a pig,
I think I am going to pass, Looking at the G8 GXP, it will weight about the same and give me more seating.

That "Ignition Video" brought a HHUUGGEE smile to my face and a tear to my eye!

Awesome job GM, you couldn't please everyone on every spec, but I am just happy the Camaro is back!!!!!

EDIT: That fine print about the HUD just brought my happiness down a tiny bit...

Mustang GT 300hp 3450lbs 11.5 lb/hp
Challenger SRT8 425hp 4140lbs 9.74lb/hp
Camaro SS 422hp 3860lbs 9.14lb/hp
Mustang GT500 500hp 3920lbs 7.84lb/hp ($42k)
Mustang GT500KR 540hp 3950lbs 7.31lb/hp ($50k+)
Camaro Z28 550hp 3960lbs 7.2lb/hp ($45k) - I can hope right?

I'll take the Camaro SS and invest in some headers, intake, a cam, exhaust and a nice tune

I'm happy with what I've seen so far(long day at work, so mostly skimmed through). Everything looks good to go, now the only thing we need is the the price. Now the colors I like so far an in know special order is the Rally yellow, Victory Red, Red Jewel Tint Coat and Aqua Blue Metallic.
