Cheryl Pilcher's response to Z28 story

This needs to be clarified immediately. Cheryl responded to the quotes in the article that appeared via email to us, the focus group members.

The answer is no.
Here's the portion of the interview she is referring to

Will there be a Z28 model?

CP: "There will be no Z28 model. Through the four generations of Camaro, there have been cases where Chevrolet chose to make the Z28 the top dog or the SS the top dog. As you're aware, Chevrolet is encouraging the SS strategy with cars such as the HHR SS and Cobalt SS. Consistent with this strategy, we have a Camaro SS."

So, there's still the possibility of a Z28 in the cards...
Yee freakin' haw!

Just as long as it doesn't look like it crashed into a ricer, then cool!

like I said left hand meet right hand. . .now what are you both doing?

one person says yes one person says no. . .

personally I'm keeping the faith until after production.

let there be a Z28

That's apparently not the case. What I read into this is that the writer reworded his question in print to make the answer sound like something that was not the case at all but makes great headlines.

You mean fused with a ricer? Or actually mowed one down in the street, like a monster car? Because I'm all for the mowing down. The fusing, not so much.

What is your ideal Z-28 build configuration, all facets included?

all I'm really wanting is a 550hp camaro that can perform. I wouldn't mind a true ram air hood. but honestly haven't decided if I like the bumper on the new bumblebee. but if that's the new bumber on BB then I'd accept it and live with it. I believe aftermarket is where I'll make any changes I do not like but over all I like the way the car looks. I just want the power and performance of a 550hp camaro.

wtf are you talking about?

an interview was posted on the internet. knowing what I know, something was not right with the response. we got word to Cheryl who responded.... not that the media ever misquotes anything.

as far as what "I know"... I'm 3rd from the left, next to Jason Debler of CamaroZ28.com

ok my response is due to the fact I am a dumb arse and didn't realize the addition of the SORP. so I edited it in the not section of the edit button once I did. but the whole things goes back to what scott has said on another forum and then her saying something different in the article. so it was like one hand in the company doesn't know what the other hand is doing. . . that's what I was talking about.

Chevy will have a competitor for the GT500, no doubt about it.
