It does make sense that they would release the black one, but I wonder which one was showcased in Europe (didn't they mention they were showing them off everywhere on release day?) I wouldn't mind seeing one of the blues in real form. Chances are, of the colors released, I'm sticking with my old favorite black though.

It does look nice, but black will always suffer from it's darkness hiding the details and lines.

Look at that pic and notice how so much of the detail is lost in the front bumper.

What other explanation is there that we could have missed, on first look, that that is definitely the SS with it's larger lower grille, wide set fog lamps and the scoop? I had to get close to my screen to be sure.

Unless black is under bright sunlight at all times, it hides too much. Couple that with it taking 10 seconds to get dirty and... well you get the idea. LOL

The lower bumper opening is supposed to be taller on the SS. Hard to tell, but that car does have the ridge just below the side marker lamp, unlike the RS.

The headlights in that pic are the non-halo ones. Just like the other pics of the black SS.

Lean in real close, you can see the lower bumper is larger (and has the ugly grille still), the lip is extended further and it has the small ridge at the edges from the pushed out fog lamps.

Hood scoop! Its official. When I buy my v6 I'll be taking the bumper off. If anybody who buys the v8 wants to swap, I'd be perfectly willing to just each pay their respective shipping costs.

That SS grill is growing on me. I wish they'd update chevy.com/Camaro with the trim packages, hood and hockey stripes, the acutal lights and grill, etc.

DFS - That two tone actually looks really good in that color combo. Yeah, I like the ss fascia better than the ls/lt fascia - plus, even if the hood scoop is sealed/fake, I was planning on taking a dremel to in anyway (I assumed the v6 would get a fake one and the v8 would get a real one) so I'm not really losing all that much. Hopefully the two will mount up the same way. When I swapped the GFX on my IROC from the 86 fx to the 92 fx, I had to drill new mounting spots.

Very nice. The mini fascia winglets don't look too bad, side view really makes the side profile have a chopped/gangsta look. Would of like to see the bottom grill match the top, or vice a versa, minor gripes. It's a good looking car.
