I Love it!!!! It reminds me of the auxiliary lighting in my Longbow! Definitely a must-have! Now, bring on the SS!!!!

If the light pipe is white or clear you can have any color you want. I'll post instructions on how to swap out the LED as soon as I get one apart.

Pink LEDs are rarer than hens teeth but I bet we can use a white one covered with pink photo filter plastic and have it your way.

As long as they don't bury the darn things under 15 tons of dashboard and ductwork, it should be easy.

I want gold to match my stripes. And if this is actually a gimmick I like it. I love leather so I guess this is like a bonus. almost a cherry on top if you would.

When it's dark, I get tunnel vision badly... I had an eye exam done & the optometrist told me that when it's completely dark, some people get tunnel vision worse than others.

This interior ambient lighting will definitely help me to offset the tunnel vision, so I'm definitely getting it.....

It's orange red. the cgi is just to give an idea. It's supposed to be the same inferno orange as the exterior paint color.

If it really is possible to change out the LED's in the lighting package you can get Pink LED's but just make sure you are careful about the one's that you get. There are a number of pink led's out there made with organic phosphors that will fade to white with only a few hours of use. I know that there are a few out there that will hold up over time. I would suggest you get one first, hook it up to power and run it for a week straight to make sure it will not fade on you. But I think that would be awesome if it worked for you.

Is the orange accent interior similar to the 69 Pace Car with Houndstooth...perhaps?

I'm not afraid to admit I still LOVE seeing a neon undercar kit on vehicles.

I don't understand how anyone can not find the thought of an SS cruising around town on a 'cushion' of light the coolest thing.

I've had a set of purple undercar neons in my garage for 6 years now. Maybe I'll finally have a use for them when I get my SS...

as long as you dont see the tubes.

On my old pink cavy, i had pink underneath the car, under the seats, the dash, leds and strobes in the windows, i loved it so much... I actually do miss it..

I wont be doing that to the camaro though, just the pink paint.

Oh, no. I'd never want to see the tubes themselves. Just the cushion of light beneath the car. It's an awesome effect imo.

If you think about it, everyone here (mostly) is loving the lighting around the cabin of the new Camaro. But if someone did that aftermarket and it wasn't a factory option, everyone would be crying foul. That you 'riced out' the Camaro with neon light piping.

The new interior lighting will go nicely with an undercar kit imo. Now if I could just get the interior lighting in a dark purple...

That's awesome. I prefer darker blues to a lot of ice blue illumination you see on gauges, but that's still great. Definitely getting that for my Camaro...

In the meantime, someone make an ambient lighting kit for a Dodge Stratus!

When you order that Orange Accent interior, does that change the glow of the gauges too, or will you wind up with the orange lighting contrasting painfully with the blue glow from the instrument cluster?

Hmm...I wonder if the convertible will have this as well? I can't see why not, but I'm curious as I gotta wait a year longer than you no-fun-hardtop-types...hehe.

Agh I'm conflicted about the lighting. One hand hand the blue looks really cool, but I have issue with blues at night, so that so that speaks for the orange....agh decisions decisions.

I'd be willing to bet that is part of the reason it was decided to include it with leather only. It will bring in a lot more people that wouldn't have considered leather otherwise.

I know I didn't care about leather until this...

Also, I'd say that image shows the amount of (or lack of) leg room in the rear with the seats pushed all the way back. Glad I won't be the one back there! LOL
