Isn't the new camaro at least partly a "bottom breather"? I think I can see the air dam under the radiator in some shots.

Well I'm going with the SS bumper. Makes an already wicked looking car look even more badass!

I'm buying the V6, and I'll definately want to swap for an ss bumper when I do. I like the fog light placement better, the lower grille could always be replaced, and I want the scoop (going to cut it open and put a honeycomb inside it so that I can use it to flow air over my short ram.

Fog light placement, size of lower grill, design of lower grill, and shape of the sides of the bumper (v6 is smooth, v8 has a bump due to the changed fog light placement).

This part is your opinion. I'm inclined to disagree. Which is why, when I get my V6, I'll be swapping it for a V8 bumper.

Can someone post pics of both bumpers? I can't tell the difference from the SS pic on the C Slater set. I do see a bit of difference in the old white spy shot. Seems to me the SS bumper is much better but I could be way off base on my idea of the pic.

Indeed. What they are referring to is "the bumper seen in the RS photos."

At first, I didnt like the SS bumper. After seeing it on this finished product, no way would I go without it now. I think I am a good example of "thinking" I have to have it a certain way and when I finally see the "real" deal I change my mind.

There is no finished product. They haven't officially released images of the Camaro SS. Are you referring to the RS? That bumper WILL NOT be on the SS.

Makes sense - I have that problem a lot. I wanted the GFX kit from the accessories, but now I think it will just make the car look too busy. The chin spoiler on the SS seems adequate to me, and I was going to swap the bumpers anyway.

Camaro SS Pre-production bumper (SS has not officially been released. The pics of the Australian SS are not official)

Camaro RS (This is what all V6's with RS package will look like; No V8 will look like this)

Differences: SS has a bump just outside of foglamps, lower facia opening is enlarged, lower grill is different design, has "mail opening" or scoop above upper grill, lower lip protrudes outwards more

Based on the two pictures above, I have a feeling that the SS will be getting a different grill then what is pictured here. Might be getting the grill that was in the mules that were running around? Look at the lower grill in the SS - it does not match the upper grill. The upper and lower grills style in the RS match each other.

Well, some members here complained about the looks of the lower grille and another forum member who worked on the car got super touchy over the reactions. Too sensitive a reaction if this were not the real intended grille.

You're right, it doesn't match the style of the top grille. All it needs is to have the openings made the same shape and push it back so it's not on the outside of the bumper but recessed in a bit like the other one. Not a big deal.

And, worst case scenario, I'm sure this type of thing will be available on the aftermarket.

I would rather have a stock SS than some kind of hybrid monster. Oh and I have a question. I read that the RS package get's halo's, afterburners, and a deck-lid spoiler, but you can't get the spoiler on the SS. Is the spoiler on the SS standard?

Yes, the spoiler is standard on the SS. Essentially, the RS package on the LT gets you the spoiler from the SS.

As well as the rims. Which has me baffled....Shouldn't the RS package on the SS be much cheaper than the RS package for the V6?

Yes. Not sure how they are going to handle that. The RS package does not get you the afterbruner taillights - they are just tinted darker and have chrome bezels around them. They did not go with the afterburner look.
