iv got an 86 berlinetta with all push-button controls, and theres one "control pod" on either side of the steering wheel. the push-button controls are nice, but they wear out over time, and the ones on my car finally did. i was wondering if anyone knew where to get these parts. iv been looking for a while and i cant find any. thanks in advance!

best bet is junkyard. The problem with the contact type dash boards, i.e. berlinetta and GTA, is they just get corroded over time. i dont think you can buy them new... but check out Thirdgen.org they have a pretty good classifieds section. someone should have one.

yea iv been looking in junkyards for months and months problem is tht they werent very common, so their hard to find. but this last weekend i found an 85 berlinetta tht looks like an exact clone of mine, cept 1 yr older lol. it had the parts, and im putting them in 2marrow! im so excited lol

congrats! they are out there just hard to find... i trust you took EVERYTHING from the dash of the parts car? lol

I always wondered why gm gave that dash to the berlinetta instead of the top line iroc like the firebirds GTA.

i kno rite? they were so much cooler than the plain-jane normal stuff. the digital dash and buttons are the thing i like most about my car lol. and the switch i gotta flip 2 turn on the dash lites is awesome lol

p.s. and yes, i did take EVERYTHING lol only thing i didnt take from the front were the pedals lol

you just need time and ambition to take them apart, clean and repair as needed. Or pay soemone else too. As both set are rare an worth $$$ fixed.
And used one might work but for how long, service em too.

It was a very rare option that not many had.

Like the factory headliner storage with the removable map light.
