Stripe Question

Hi All,

Quick striping question. It was mentioned that only white and cyber gray could be striped from the factory. Does that mean that they will only do white and cyber gray stripes or they will only stripe cars that come in white or cyber gray? And why would this be the case where they would only do some and not others? Or am I completely missing the boat?

Thanks!!

Vinyl. Since they are put on at the factory or dealer. Unless they have something up there sleeve.

maybe painted for the ones at the factory and vinyl for dealers. . .only reason i think they'd do it that way.

but don't quote me on that.

I am really interested in seeing all the different designs (Dual Rally, Hockey Stick and the Bumblebee) and the color combinations you can get.

Expect vinyls. Bumblebee may be specially done at the factory since the movie clearly uses paint.

J, ok...so the white and cyber grey stripes come from the factory...are these vinyl stripes or paint?

and, I assume that the stripes from the dealers (which can probably be more colors) would be vinyl, right?

I'm lost...

We need Camaro Scotty to speak up on this one. I would love the hockey stick in a rally green on my cyber grey Camaro.

Painted stripes would add quite a bit to the package. I'll bet vinyl. Mine will be vinyl and I'll make my own.

Most likely all will be vinyl. As soon as I can get some measurements off of a real car, I'll be making all kinds of vinyl decals for the new Camaros.

Will they be doing full rally stripes? That bumblebee stripe setup looks like crap.

That's scary. I have never seen vinyl put on the body of a car that didn't start peeling almost immediately.

Excellent question. I hope for painted from factory and would be nice for paint from dealer (but we all know those will be vinyl unless you can come to some great, great deal with a dealer who likes going that stuff).

Tell that to my Pop's 30 year old Camaro...pretty orange vinyl alllll the way down the bottom-half of the car -where all the nasty dirt and crap is. It's faded...but still there.

All we were told is that the two cars would be available with factory stripes, and that if someone wanted "other stripes" they would be available as a dealer accessory installed part. Again, the "accessories" won't be revealed until December...Your guess is as good as mine on this.

They did not mention if the factory stripes were paint or not. Not guessing on that either....

Well, I'm starting on leaning towards silver with cyber gray - but if its turns out that the factory colors (white and cyber gray) are painted and the dealer colors (all the others) are painted, I'm definately going with gray.

A bumblebee package that uses the authentic Valspar Sunrise and authentic painted metallic black stripes... Would be amazing and it might be worth the extra money if they offered it..
