Well I owned a 1997 30th anniversary Z28 that was arctic white with hugger orange stripes from the factory.

They were decals and yes they did chip and peal. I tried to keep mine in the best shape possible but rocks and other things took their toll over the years.

Being that the 30th and 35th annivarsary stripe packages were all decals I will bet the bank these will be too. The fact that most options will be dealer installed proves that they will be decals. The only question is will the two that are installed factory be paint......I doubt it

I thought there were 2 factory available colors like wite and gray and the other colors were dealer installed options and would come in any of the same colors as the paint choices.

are the dealer installed stripes approved by GM, or are they aftermarket stuff?

Thread merged.

Read the thread from the beginning to find out what colors they will be offered in from the factory and what the dealers are supposed to do for you.

Welcome to the site and please feel free to take some time to look around the different forums!

It'd be easier to just order your car without stripes since after a year or maybe even a few months, the aftermarket will probably fill that void up real quick with decals that might even look better than the factory ones. For example, I don't like how the Hockey Stripes on that red Camaro showing off the GM accessories doesn't have the thin pinstripe outlining it like the 69's had, which is something I am sure the aftermarket will fix.

I mean really, look how quick the aftermarket took care of the Mustang and now already the Challenger: http://www.ridergraphix.com/Challenger.html
