I'm probably going to sound like an idiot asking this because I'm probably the only person who is just NOW realizing this bit of detail but why does it say "Welcome..." on the windshield?? Is there like a laser display sort of thing that shows up on the windshield that like...talks to you???

No. I noticed this too. It is not the same HUD everyone is talking about. It is a picture that is takin from the passanger's perspective that says "Hello" at the very top of the windshield. At first I was interested in it being some kind of HUD but it really does look like a rendering. I would provide a pic but im on a gov. computer and It wont allow me to do so for some reason. Sorry

the key's aren't even in...I think that might be a reflection or something. Unless it happens when the door opens.

If I had to make an educated guess...I'd say it was a teleprompter. This pic was taken behind Ed Welburn in the garage --see his hand? (you think they memorized everything they had to say?)

its a center dash HUD, will be used as the "security center" of other GM vehicles. You can personalize the welcome greeting up to 15 characters i believe and it gives you warnings like door open, seat belt and other annoying nonsense. There is a few other hidden goodies they aren't talking about also, marketing purposes.

I know there's a lot more with accessories that GM hasn't mentioned but it sounds too cool to be true if Bentley78 is correct. If it's true that we could personalize the welcome greeting up to 15 characters.... ex. the warnings like door open, seat belt and other annoying nonsenses... it floods my head with cool sayings!

I guess more waiting on what cool things to add to our Camaros.
