Imperial Blue or Red Jewel ?

First Post -
I am really torn between these two colors. I don't see alot of Red Jewel or Imperial Blue available. Is there any reason not to go with either of these colors or is it just personal preference?

I have red jewel. I love this color.
Imperial Blue has less produced than red jewel, so if you are going with a rarer color, get IBM.

RJT is a premium color option since it consists of two different colors. So finding touch up might be tricky, but I do see it on paintscratch.com

If you want a color that is close to black but isn't get IBM.

If you want a color that people will call "burgundy" or "maroon" then get RJT.

Go visit the Photos thread and look at each of the official colors, but really if you can see them in person that helps even better.

I took delivery of my Imperial Blue about two weeks ago. I chose the Silver Stripe. Can't tell you how many thums up I get on the road. The Blue absolutely pops in the Sun and the Silver Strip looks awsome. Go Blue!

I know it's probably personal preference but I am 50 years old and thought the darker colors might be better so it doesn't look like I am having a mid-life crisis with the Bumble Bee or Orange. I think the RJT looks classy. When I was 16 I had a 1976 Camaro Rally Sport in Yellow with the Black Stripes. A dealer 40 miles from my house has a RJT with the RS package exactly the way I want it coming in on Monday or Tuesday. My wife likes the CGM and RJT. I thought the CGM looked a little plain or dull when I saw it in person a few days ago. I want to get a color that won't wear off on me. Getting very excited. I feel the new car is just hours away! Thanks for all the input from everyone.

Care to see CGM and RJT side by side? I posted some pictures today of Efpardo's car alongside mine.

This was (still kinda is) my dilemma, I ended up (so far) going with RJT, I think it's a gorgeous color and I love how it changes in different lighting conditions. Ultimately I moved to RJT as it will not show any swirl marks as I plan on keeping this car until I pass away.

Just a thought, but you really need to see them both in person. I just saw a SW for the first time while traveling with my dad, I commented that I liked it but wouldn't want to clean it every single day, my dad chirped up and said I'd clean it everyday, apparently my dad is starting to like the new Camaro's .

I wouldn't be worried about what it would look like if you picked orange. if you like the color you like the color. i liked burgandy since i was a small kid and still like burgandy. rjt is similar. rjt looks rich and means business. you will not be disappointed...guaranteed

You've narrowed it down to two of the best colors IMO. I'll say IBM is a little more conservative than RJT. Both have a lot of metal flake and really shine in the sun. Tough choice. You need to see both in person before making your decision. A lot of people are surprised (in a good way) when they see either in the sun. I'm not a fan of CGM. Just lacks the luster I expected.

Red Jewel is absolutely sexy! In the sunlight, it's a deep candy red. As the sun goes down, it becomes a maroon, with a hint of purple even.

IBM....you wont be sorry. Anyone that claims it looks close to black has probably never seen it in person......on some of the lower quality pics posted on here it does look close to black, but in person it looks great.

RJT is vastly superior, it has less wind resistance which is good for an additional 5 HP Seriously though color is simply a personal preference, both will show the dust and both look awesome in the sun. In darkness the RJT looks maroon which is cool for me.

Nothing at all! I probably should explain that a bit more.
I found that when I tell someone I have a red camaro when you have a Red Jewel tint, you will get the response "That's not red it is more Maroon/Burgundy"

That is all.

I never thought to say "cranberry red" I would have said Raspberry red, or Ruby red. I like it since cranberries are one of the fruits naturally found in the US.
