I know that this issue has been beat to death, but I'm back asking for member help. I've purchased the Prediator tuner and want to complete my tune, but, I'm a novice when it comes to all this computer stuff. I'd like to know from someone who has done the tune any information that I might need prior to pluging in. I've read the booklet that comes with the tuner. I'm sure my concern is not warrented, but before I screw something up and have to buy a new ECM I coulds use some help. Thanks in advance.

Mods so far: ARH exhaust w/free-flow cats, 3" exhaust back to axle and a Airaid CAI kit.

I have the Diablo tune on mine. Its pretty straight forward. Go to the Diablo forum and do some reading. The main thing to remember is to pull the Onstar fuse. Its in the fuse block on the drivers end of the dash

does the fuse need to be pulled and left out as long as you have this tune in the ecm?

no, after you've put the tune in put the fuse back. The fuse pull is just make sure you don't have a voltage drop while you're connected to the ecm because onstar is sending a diagnosic report.

OK! I've had my tuner for several months now and have not installed the tune yet. Does anyone know if there has been upgrades? I'm not a computer Guru, so I've been aprehensive in doing the tune. Is there some place to go to that I can get help on the tune? Thanks in advance. I found the receipt. Sept 09 is when I got it.

Chevyss, pm me your problems and I can try to help you out. I have a tune in my car and its not bad. If you want a custom tune other then the one in the tuner then I can recommend a couple people on this forum.

There is software updates out of the tuner however, I do not recommend going above 9R10. If you have anything less, I can email the file for you to load onto the tuner. Do you have a cable to connect the tuner to your computer? This following forum thread tells everything you need to do to fine tune the car.

nah, you should be fine...

they say to pull the fuse for onstar because if there's a transmission between them and your vehicle while you're writing/flashing the tune to the ECM, it would interrupt the communcations with the ecm and could cause an issue...

but you should be fine... when I first started using mine 4+ years ago, I used to pull my onstar fuse all the time, but then after a while, I just stopped and still never had any problems...
