Painted Stripes on SW/SS/RS

Hey all! Just got it out of the shop (no time to really detail it yet) from having the stripes painted on. Spiral Gray Metallic w/Victory Red pins and Bowties. What do you think !?!

Wow very nice. I love how you painted over the slot and up to the edge, and with the red outline. Great job.

That looks sick! Love it...love the red bowtie too. I was wanting a black Camaro, but I am really digging the white, but you need stripes with the white to make it look good. I like your color selection on the stripes! I have been thinking about the grey or orange stripes too.

Thanks! I had'nt noticed that exact scheme before so I had P. Ham (Camaro5 member) photoshop it for my avatar. Looked good so I said "WHAT THE HECK!"

Thanks! I did have the vinyl but I thought painted would look better and last longer!

Thank you! I originally ordered a Victory Red but switched just before the order went in. I was sweating it at first but now I'm extremely happy!

Thanks and I see what you mean. I had seen Becky Rodgers sells them with a replacement core....I may do that!

Holy cow, man!!!

I don't know why, and I swear this is true....but I was thinking this morning how cool it would be if someone did the EXACT same paint pattern...around the mail slot as a whole, but into a rally type stripe design, but STILL in the "wide" (just like how my hood stripe runs) design over and down the sides of the cowl. I was thinking in wave blue, though...hehehe... And no...I had NO idea how to do the pin stripe.

BUT....your paint scheme is really good looking. First one I've seen with that pattern and truly an amazing look. Your idea done up from a photoshop turned out to be one heck of a look. Yep! LOVE IT!

I'm almost curious to see what it would look like if I took a strip of vinyl (just for an idea) in cyber gray metallic and laid it down on the center of my hood just like that. Of course, two strips of blue would have to go on either side. But,...

Just for kicks...I wonder what it would look like. Maybe I could get someone to photoshop it for me...

About time! I think you got a winner there! That turned out great! I love how the stripes incorporate the mail slot. That was genious! So you had the Chevy vinyls removed and instead painted? Did the vinyl red not match the pin stripes? Either way, paint is the way to go. By the way, I like how the hood stripes bow out near the windshield. I don't think I've seen that before. If you're trying to hide the shark fin I think painting it white would be a good idea. You could even paint it the Spiral Gray Metallic for something different. What other plans you have for it?

Congratulations on a beautiful car!!!

Thank you! Spiral Gray Metallic has always been my favorite color on a Corvette and I think I've owned at least 5 vehicles that were Victory Red so I figured why not combine them? I'm glad I did!

Thanks Paul! All of these accolades should be directed towards your direction, 'cause without your help I don't know what I would have done! As far as future mods...I think the next thing will be the SLP Gray wheels and after that...I'm not quite sure...a work in progress like most of the rest of us!

Thank you and yes they pulled all of the parts off the car to sand and paint after they lined everything out. Shot the Gray paint, let it set up, shot the Red paint, sanded it out, clear coated (3 coats), polished and buffed it out and reattached all of the parts (minus my rear SS emblem). Cost me $850. for all of it! Each job is determined by the amount of work being done!
