*jealous*

Sounds like a blast... my boyfriend and I want to start autocrossing but I'd be too scared I'd hurt the 'Maro to take that and I'd really like to take one of those classes first...

Especially the high performance class... or stunt driving school.

Stunt driving will only teach you the tricks, the driving school actually teaches you how/why the car reacts in certain ways and the fundamentals.

As for autocrossing, I doubt you will ever hurt your camaro doing it. It's just a bunch of cones. If you miss shift trying to get that last tenth or so then it's possible, but if you're doing it for fun, you shouldn't ever have a problem.

Or just dont crash

You both have good points.

Although Mindz, the stunt driving school I was looking into was pretty thorough... eight hours with theory in a classroom and the rest in practicum on the track. But believe me, with where I want to head in my career... I want to take as many specialty driving courses as I can. Shame you can't just take the police driving course as a civilian... I would love to do that.

same here... The cool thing with SB was that it was 40 minutes theory, then 90 minutes hands on practice. then 40 minutes theory on new topic, 90 minutes hands on.

Tag, do you know any CHP officers or any idea who the best person to talk to if we were actually going to attempt to see if they could find a slot for us? I don't want to join the stunt show the CHP has put on, but I want to go through the training they do. =)

I would do that for sure. Who knows what it could lead to....Have a good time with a couple of local cops and get all buddy buddy. And the next time you get pulled over, look who it is. and you get off with a warning. Now thats a good deal.

He's from bakersfield. Watching him giggle like a schoolgirl live was absolutely hilarious.

Sorry if EVERYONE knows about this and I'm asking anyway
