Camaro5fest in April

Is anyone planning on going to this? It is about 12 hours 800 miles each way. Me and my dad are planning on going down but wanted to know if anyone else is going?

There are a few that are planning on drive down. Blackhawk6, Camaro_SS, Sicsix6, Flaminbird, and myself as of right now. Looking at meeting upsomewhere for drive south.
Would like to maybe get with NJ/NY group to meet up with us and then continue meeting groups in NC, SC, and then GA. That would make us one hell of a group pulling in from the east coast!
Havn't done alot of planning as of yet but will try to organize soon. 1 more week of coaching youth football and my afternoons will be freed up again. Will pm some friends and can use your post as a strting point if that's okay with you 73camarolt.

Just a Friday to Sunday thing. I have reserved a room. Anyone thinking of going might want to call and reserve a room and remember to get the confirmation number. If you decide you are not going to make it you are able to cancel. However; if you decide to go at last minute you might not be with the rest of the group due to all the rooms being booked.

I am interested in riding down with the rest of you. I am 90% sure I will be going. Just working out the details. I hope I see everyone I have met lately at the event as well.

If anyone is planning on going make sure you have booked your room. The Holiday Inn is full! I have to go to the Wingate just up the road. That may be full soon also. I signed up on the list as 228. Will be bigger than any meet to date and looks like a lot of fun!

Cruznss did you call the main hotel? I went on line and it said full, but called and they said three rooms left. One of the mods said they still had 20 rooms as of last night.

You guys HAVE to go. Anyone that does not will be kicking themselves. This is the First Annual Event. You can say you were there when it started and enjoy it year after year. Just like Hot Rod Power Tour, the SEMA show, the PRI show, or any other annual event. Think of it, 300 Camaros. Good times and media coverage. Plenty of time to plan. C'mon, you know you wanna go !!

Its all good Edog. I'll be in the jacuzzi in my room...lol. I splurged for this one.Paying a little bit more for the bigger room but it's not far from Holiday inn. Ordered my helmet also. Going to have my brother air brush it for me. This is going to be the main event next year and it's just after my 40th B-day.

Yes it's going to be a long drive BUT, will have friends in camaro's making same, long, trip. More fun when we travel in PACKS...lol. Hoping to join up with other groups on the way south. Should be a hell of a sight when we roll in (the 200+ in the parking lots will look good too!)

For everyone going down in a group, are all of you driving down straight shot or stopping somewhere for the night of something like that? Thanks

Love to go but my Maro just won't fit in my carry on or checked baggage. Waiting for a more central location.

We have 2 options.
1. Leave on thursday and drive south to S.C. or northern Georgia and get rooms for the night. Breakfast in the morning then on to Valdosta GA.
2. Leave really early friday morning and have to be there and checked in prior to 3pm. Mapquest shows about an 11 hour trip from central VA. If I figure right we would have to leave by 2am to make it.

Good time to start thinking which works best for each member, myself personally, am opting for the 1st option and leaving thursday so we don't have to feel rushed. I know anyone coming from up north wont drive straight thru and will opt for #1 if they meet up with us.
