So, does anyone know if the Camaro finally gets a real dual exaust system?

Yup, it seems that X-pipe goes where there is a resonator on the G8. Perhaps this is a result of the exhaust note tuning we've read in the past.

that's so you can pop the hood and jump it or another car with out having to back up and lift up the rear cover over the battery.

Shoot, if the pipes are 3-inch, I'll rip those off, bolt-on some Borlas, and loose like 20 lbs.! LOL. Whatever; they can bolt on some dumpsters for all I care, I'll be replacing the mufflers/exhaust anyways.

Indeed - so does this mean that the stock exhaust does not have resonators? I was planning on deleting it them on my camaro, but that would save me some work.

So I'm curious what every plans on doing for their aftermarket exhaust. I've always been a fan of 40-series Flowmasters, but how does Borla compare in sound and performance?

You are correct, I was just saying they were trying to make it easier to give shock treatment to shunt by placing the battery in the trunk ....... shorter jumper cables the G8 is the same way.

So what is the top of the line Exhaust system?

I know Magnaflow is great, but is there something better than Magnaflow and Borla?

There really is no 'top of the line' it all comes down to what YOU think sounds the best. Any gains you would get from going, say from Borla to Magnaflow would be negligible. This is from my experience anyway.

Thats my experience as well. Although, I'm blending my exhaust system... Magnaflow cats, flowmaster mufflers. And, resonator delete since apparently they're there after all.
