Solo Mach X or MBRP exhaust
I think I've narrowed down my exhaust to either the Solo Mach X or the MBRP. I've heard nothing but good things about both. Ultimately I'm seeking the same thing we/most are, sound quality without droning with HP gains..The only mods that will be in place are CAI, exhaust, tune and short shift kit..Help put me over the edge one way or another...Thanks..AZ5G

get the one that you think sounds the best...or if you want to save a little $$, the one that is cheaper (Solo).
I vote for Solo, but I know everyone who has the MBRP system loves it as well...so you really can't go wrong.

Tuff call.....another thing to keep in mind is that SOLO is 2.5" and MBRP 3".
I haven't heard either one in person but based on the videos I've seen I would lean a little more towards MBRP. The 3" will also support any future mods. I know you said you basically weren't going to do any big mods but Never say Never. Try to see if you can find someone in your area with either system and try to hear it in person if possible. SOLO is a little cheaper but not by much and if you consider the different sizes of exhaust then they are pretty much equal in my eyes. SOLO is 2.5" T-409 steele for $750 delivered. MBRP is 3" and I was quoted $880 for the T-409 system delivered. My guess is that if SOLO offered a 3" it would have to be at least $100 more for the extra cost of the pipe and same goes for MBRP. If they sold a 2.5" system then they could probably discount another $100 off. Either system is going to be good. You're just going to have to try to find someone local with the systems or base your decisions off the videos.

I say solo, I have it on mine and love it, you need to consider customer service and solo is the best. I listened to everything I could find on the internet and solo is what I liked best, now that I have it, it wasn't a mistake it's great.

Got screwed by original dealer in Eufuala, Oklahoma on November 3, 2009. Found new one at Paddock Chevrolet and drove 2400 miles roundtrip to pick her up in Buffalo, New York on Nov. 5, 2009. |
