Has anyone painted their rear "defuser" panel to match body color??

Ive seen some guys with C6's have this done and like the look of it. Looks like I'm gunna have to get my rear bumper cover smoothed out from some dumbass taggin it while i was in a restaurant so figured i'd look into getting this done while theyre back there. Heres a pic for referance of what i'm talking about.

Forgot i had this pic... this is what i'm talking about. Just don't know if they'd have to smooth it out to paint it or what? Stock it has a textured/wrinkle finish ya know.

That looks very nice. I wish I could do that to mine. I have stripes that go down the rear end. Dang might have to come up with something. Might paint it glossy black though.

If you dont smooth it out it will not look to good because of the textured finish. I'm going to do my stock one and offer it painted to match.

I went ahead and copied your thread with the pics. Just go ahead and post them in this thread b/c that looks awesome. I read in your thread that you didn't have the paint shop smooth it out. Is that correct?? Looks pretty smooth to me! If you think about it though, a couple coats of paint will fill in the wrinkled texture pretty good so i guess thats why it looks smooth. Love it!

Didnt get my car back but I had mine painted satin black so it doesnt turn white on me. I had them sand lightly and prime. It will have some texture but not enough to bother me.
