Road noise
I've talked about road noise before but never really heard anything back from members. This is my only really complaint with my can. It's like they didn't put any sound deadner in the car. It is really noise, so noisy that you have to turn the stereo up to drowned it out. Anyone else experience this??

I love sound deadener...I plan to layer the floor, doors, trunk and back deck with the stuff. Even with a stock sound system, should make it sound twice as good. Should also help with the road noise. And yeah, I noticed it was a little noisy inside on my test drive the other night.

Are you confusing road noise with engine wine? Cruising down the highway in 6th gear at 65mph the interior is quiter than my wifes Nissan Versa.

I understand where you're coming from ChevySS... when I first drove the car I noticed a bit more road noise than I was used to. But A: I drive with my music up 99% of the time. And B: I've never owned a car with stock 20's and low pro tires. You may be over looking the fact that the wheel and tire combo alone can add some significant cabin noise while driving. Some have reported changing the tires to a different brand can help a little with this.
But in the end the best way to "get rid of it" is to turn your music up or down shift and listen the beautiful ballad of combustion that is an SS Camaro!

You need to put an exhaust system on your car !!!!
But no, I haven't experienced any excessive road noise.

I'm just to acustom to my wife's Suburban, it's so quite inside. I've installed a complete exhaust system and I've learned to turn up the radio. Tires do have a lot to do with road noise. My studs on the Suburban are really noisy.
Merry Christmas to all the Fbody lovers. Have a Happy New Year. |
