Before you decide to keep them you should Ask your local law enforcement officer what HE thinks...

Thanks for all the compliments.

I have already had a discussion about the lights with the State Police after being pulled over for speeding. It was during a sunny day, and the trooper said he was able to see the brake lights fine but asked me to check with an inspection station just to be sure they were street legal.

Although they don't look it in the picture, the covers do allow a substantial amount of light through as they are perforated. I will try to shoot some night pics with running and brake lights.

Cool, Just would hate for you to find out too late...if the cops don;t care maybe you could just take them off to pass inspection and them put them back on if it's not too much trouble..

look fake in the picture.. concept great but i would have a paint shop candy the lens to get a more professional and permanent effect.

I agree that they would look better glossed, but I think the pics do not completely do these covers justice. When I was trying to decided whether to order them, I thought the same thing as all the pictures I saw didn't look quite right. However, I figured for $14.95 I would take a chance, and I was very pleased with the way they look in person. They really don't look like vinyl at all.

Actually, your local parts store sells a spray that you can tint your own lights however light or dark you wish. It is REALY easy and serisously guys, if your worried about cops hounding you about stuff like this, you should probably just stay home. If a cop is just bored and does pull you over, the worst you will get is a "fix it" ticket and put some stock tail lights on and take it to the court house and show them its back to normal.

I think it looks great. I if I were doing it to mine I would do night shade paint on the tail lights instead of the static cling. But it looks great though.
