i work at home depot-im here right now-where do they have oil catch cans?

I think he was telling you all the stuff is there to make it up, they don't sell them as "catch cans".

You can try one of these with the appropriate couplings.

I would take out any filter media before using it.

That one will not work because it has a spring loaded drain at the bottom which is closed under pressure. The can works under vacuum and that would keep the drain valve open and you would loose vacuum. There are some with a manual valve (or without a valve) which would work.

Billet Prototypes has a catch can for a G8 that should work. i have seen this can and its very good quality

That looks good and cheaper. Still need to know how to hook this up though.

This explains why I have been smelling a hint of burning oil after running my car hard. The smell is so faint that I thought that it may be just in my head.

I found an inline one on e-bay that is all metal housing with a clear bulb and a twist open pet cock at the bottom to drain it. Just go to e-bay and type in pcv oil catch can to browse and find the seller. It looks like pretty simple. Just put it in your line or put longer hose that comes with it if you want to move it around. So I ordered it for $45.95 shipped for my 2SS LS3 I have on order. But I'd pm'ed with fdjizm and what he's done will also work as well as those bling ones. I just found this one to be a more solid made one but still simple install as his is.
