Added Rear SS Trunk Emblem & Black Out

Just got this put on, what do you guys think?

I added red vinyl to the SS and the black out is vinyl (I wasn't sure if I wanted to paint it just yet).

I had the trim rings painted a gray metallic to match the stripes, but I am gonna go back at paint them black.

I wouldn't change a thing, looks great to me.
Just trying to imagine what it would look like with the License plate recess blacked out like the panel between the taillights.

where did you get the black out for the rear or did someone make it for you. I think you should black out the red in the SS.

Yeah I had a decal shop custom make this for me, I didn't lilke how the other black out kits allowed the body color to show through.

I went with the red on the SS to keep with the way GM did the SS/RS combo.

Looks good and very unique! On an unrelated note, sorry to see that someone tagged your license plate frame and put some very foul language on it.

2010 SSRS Where did you get that SS emblem, that looks awesome.
It is the SS emblem for a trailblazer, there are a couple of sizes you need the one that is 5 inches long to cover the holes. This is the part # is used15211285.

Damn that looks amazing! I totally agree with the other blackout kits showing color around the lights. What shop did this for you?

What shop did this for you?
I had it done at Rigo's on GWE across from the mall, 7 yr vinyl and it was cheaper installed than the on-line kits. Congrats on your car looks like a bad ass Chistmas for you!

That looks sweet, did you use the same size as the one that you installed on the rear of your car?

There are 2 parts there first is the SLP filler part for your grill, part #100042A it like $35.

Next is the SS emblem the same one as on the rear, This is the Part # 15211285 and i paid $15 per.

ac, I was wondering, were the holes in the trunk panel filled in with the SS emblem double-stick taped onto the vinyl, or was the SS mounted into the holes on trunk panel left behind by the bowtie?

I'm not sure I understand the question, but, I removed the bowtie and there were two holes left. I did not cover these up with anything. I had the vinyl applied which covered the holes, but the holes are still there. I then had the SS emblem applied to the vinyl, which also covered the holes. Hope that helps. The SS emblem if it is the right one will cover the holes left by the bow tie without the vinyl.

If this doesn't help let me know.

The OP's car looks great! I love this mod! Thanks for the PN# of the trailblazer emblem.

We just finished this for a customer:

The rear blackout on this car is painted along with the taillight rings. The taillights are painted candy black, they are not covers...
I agree with the OP about the decal kits having the body color showing through on the edges. The owner is MARKBOLT. PM me for pricing.

blacking out the license plate area wouldn't look that bad at all.
