has anyone tried just spraying krylon on the cover? im liking about finding a matching IOM color and then just spraying it on...

Krylon has the same ingredients as the paint you order and that is what I used to finished with a Krylon clear coat. I have not seen any problems so far as heat affecting the finish.

I just used the Krylon Fusion in Sunbeam/Safety Yellow.. It is holding up very well

ok cool thanks. you didnt have to do any kind of sanding right? just wipe it down with some rubbing alochol, tape it up, start spraying the color, and then clear coat..?

just looke don the krylon website for plastic fusion colors....doesnt look they have any orange that will match my stripes...maybe pumpkin (saftey) orange..lol

Guess I was lucky that the Safety Yellow was the same shade as Rally yellow...

I did some light wet sanding in between coats but maybe not required. Seems to look better but that is just me. Have fun!
