Here's my latest and greatest:

This is the V6 engine cover from our sister car that is no longer with us: The Pontiac G8.

Removing the oil cap extension and raising the stud for the push plug was all the modding necessary to make it fit.

There are a few final touches needed before it is officially complete; I just couldn't resist the urge to try it on the car now. I will also be adding LED lights to the six ports.

What a great idea you came up with. It looks great and is an improvement over the original

Anyone want help with wrap of a cover let me know..I have 8000 miles on mine with no problem.
what kind of material did you use for the wrap? I'm looking at all of these different vinyls and have had people tell me that its a bad idea to put on my engine cover because of the heat build up.

If he showed us that, we wouldn't have to buy them from him.

They do look nice. I'm wondering about the mesh painted blue myself. Just a thought.

I painted my cover with metallic blue accents some time back. Still holding up (can't say the same for the fuse cover as it's rough textured now). I made the mistake of buying the LSR strut brace a while back and although it looks nice, it rubs on the cover. Can't see it unless you take the bar off but I know it's there. Should have just gone with the GM brace and had it painted instead. Ugh.

Speaking of, redleader, where'd you buy your painted brace from? Don't mean to go off-topic, you can PM if you like. Just noticed you're in the UK though.

Just finished this up, engine & fuse box cover. A bunch of glare on the fuse box.

My Engine Cover Mod Attempt

I am new to the forum, but I wanted to show my engine cover paint job. I did this in my basement, but I think that it turned out pretty OK.

Your cover looks great. I ordered my Camaro in 2009 and did the cover in the first month so it's about time to come up with a new look. The bar has been raised since I did mine.

Nice job!! I have a rookie question that is off topic, I've seen it before in pics but have always wondered, is that some type of a filter behind your front bumper? I'm sure there's a thread here somewhere about it I just haven't found it. Thanks for the info!
