Selling at invoice?

I searched Ebay and found a dealer selling Camaros at invoice.http://motors.shop.ebay.com/Cars-Tru...=p4506.c0.m282

Is there a catch somewhere besides shipping?

Cheers.

Many many dealers are selling for invoice or below. I am getting my car for significantly less than invoice. Talk to BeckyD. She has a great reputation on these forums!

... for the record, I would not complain at all if someone were to name one dealer in South Florida that is selling at or below invoice... ;\

Any dealers in BC Canada doing the same? I'm looking to buy a 2SS in the next few months (sooner rather than later if there's a good deal to be had)...

Speaking of which, what are the US and Canadian invoice prices?

Not without GMS you didn't. There isn't that much money in the car. You may have paid 2500 under MSRP with all applicable discounts...

invoice is smoke and mirrors. It is not what they pay for the car. There is a hold back, used to insure the car while its on the lot. They get the same amount if it sits on the car for 1 minute or 1 year. My car sat on the lot for 6 hours. They still get the hold back. Plus, like Scotty said, other kickbacks and bonuses. If a dealer sells you a car at invoice, hes not doing his best. BUT keep in mind, they are in business to make money too, not give cars away. If they are honest and its the best they can do, then its the best they can do. The HONESTY is the key...

I have no idea what invoice was on my car, nor do I care. I got it for $3500 below MSRP in August when people were still paying over MSRP so I have no complaints!

Just wondering, is the invoice the starting price the dealers are selling at? Excluding all discounts. Theoretically, wouldn't it be cheaper to buy one locally because of shipping?

I was glad to get mine at MSRP. If it's still as it was in the 80-90s there were two invoices and one MSRP. The dealer wouldn't let you see his invoice. If they sell at invoice they still make money. Dealer kickback.

Well I will looking to purchase anywhere from a month to 3 months depending on how things go with my credit report and such. I have 2 or 3 dealers in mind that I will be talking to periodically over the next few months to get updates and see how were looking with incentives, gm changes and such. Have been seriously impressed with the customer service of Anna, Becky, Ben and Scotty. Cant say enough how excited and thankful I am to have you all on our side

I can speak for Becky. She was great to work with--consistently emailed me updates about the status of our car, paperwork was mailed to our home and very simple to fill out, honored discounts that local dealers wouldn't, was able to get a lower apr than our credit unions. I would recommend her without hesitation!

I got topped off GM card earnings and woohoo Camaro is on the list. I'm interested if a dealer can do a SIM/IBM/CGM 2SS under invoice with a m6. Time to start looking!

CamaroScotty, since you start of with supplier then apply the discounts, would you apply the College Grad Discount on supplier pricing?

Thanks!

From what I understood, Invoice and Dealer Price are two different numbers...not the same thing. Dealer price is less than the invoice price. Just clarifying, nothing against the dealer making a fair profit here.

My dealer originally quoted me a price "at invoice". Yet there were all sorts of other prices tacked on. Destination, advertising, doc fee. Realistically of course I paid more than invoice, but I did pay below MSRP. And for what it's worth, that kind of built-in lying is one reason people hate buying cars, and car salesman in general.
