pacesetter longtubes
Has anybody tried them on thier 2010 camaro? i used them on my 2002 and they held up pretty well. I plan on doing their coated long tubes with offroad midpipes and the hot cam in the spring but keeping the stock catback. Can't beat the price either.

My god, that is cheap, you could get two or three sets compared to the major manufacturers. Not me though,

I used them on my 01 z28 and i never had a problem with them so i would figure that they would be ok for my 10 ss, and i only had the painted ones on my z, had them about 4 years and didnt have any rust but it wasnt my daily drive.

which reminds me.... thats higher than 4th gens are priced for coated LT's

Comparing Kooks or a premium brand to pacesetter is like comparing Levi's to Wranglers..

I had them on some of my 4th gens, they work just fine, if you have an extra grand to throw away on a more expensive brand go for broke, if you work for your money like me the Pacesetters work just fine, in any case get the coated

I'll add that comparing brands of different price ranges is a lot like taking about cars in different price ranges. Some people compare the Camaro to cars out of its price range. The discussion always points out that the Camaro is designed to compete in a specific price bracket. This is also true of aftermarket parts. There's a reason they charge so little. Something is missing when compared to the premier brands.

As long as the performance is there, thats all that matters to me. I had the plain uncoated pacesetter in my 4th gen ss and wrapped them. They worked great and looked killer wrapped.

not always blur. there's a lot of hype surrounding this car and aftermarket companies knew/know this. and they know that people will be willing to pay large sums of money for their product. look at the $300.... $400....$500.... and higher priced cold air intakes. and look at how they performed in a comparison against each other. not worth that kind of money IMVHO. esp with a little ingenuity, you can do what members like scrming did and remove the baffles and restrictions in the stock intake. granted theres more to do to get a higher power gain, but $500 for maaaaaaaaaaybe 10 hp from an intake.... just isnt worth it to some. but $500 for long tube headers when the competition is marketing at $900+ is worth it. just like you can buy 4th gen LT's for around $500, this isnt some super special engine concocted in the pits of hell, its an LS3. its LS architecture. sure you need to bend the pipes in a different route, but it doesnt take much when you've already been making this type of product for years already. and instead of charging more cus its "a new car", charge the same as you do for your other series of headers for the same engine style. again, jmo.
