Inferno Orange

Has anyone seen inferno orange? I thought there was a thread about it but I couldn't find it when I searched for it. We don't have any Colorados on our lot in that color in town but the pictures I've seen on the internet look closer to red than orange. Please someone tell me Inferno Orange looks more orange than this in person!

I don't think I've ever seen that color in person either.

Can someone get a picture of it up close? The actual name is "Inferno Orange Metallic" but I don't see any metal flake in it whatsoever. (Not even in the renderings done by Chevy).

I saw it in person last week and I have to say it looks pretty close to the convertable hugger orange pearl. It's a little less pearl and a little more metallic and possible just a touch darker. Pretty close though IMHO.

Here's a Solstice on Ebay in Inferno Orange Metalic. Several pics

I've seen one in person, and the sun really changes the color.

That what i said in another topic.. the colors shown on the Chevy site seems pretty "unreal", or at least far away to get the real taste.

The color of this Solstice would match better.

Inferno Orange would be my first choice. If it looks anything like the Solstice, then it's going to look real good.

I too am debating about either black or white stripes but then I might just go with a flat black hood to be slightly different.

I really like the white stripes on the orange, plus much easier and cooler then black stripes. Need to see one in person. I wish the yellow wasn't SO BRIGHT. My buddy wants me to get yellow but I think its TOO MUCH.

First choice Inferno Orange
Second White
Third Yellow.

Orange with silver stripes is my plan too. I found an Inferno Colorado at the fair. It isn't exactly what I was hoping for but is still what I'll be getting.

Man, this color looks too "melon" for me. I really LOVE orange and I love the color of the 'vert concept but nothing I've seen looks that appealing.

That last set of EXTREEEEEME CLOSE-UPs look better...maybe this color doesn't photograph well.

Inferno orange has metallic in it -- on a sunny day, it's bright orange -- on a cloudy day, it gets more 'red' --

I think the color is most true to 1972 "Flame Orange" -- which was available on Camaro/Nova/Vega/Chevelle/Monte Carlo.........

That looks like "Cingular" orange from Jeff Burton's old paint scheme!

I really want something other than red this time, but I bet I end up with red. I'd like to see the Imperial blue with white stripes. If they offer a red interior though I'll have to go with something else, love red interiors. Would also like the Moroccan Brown from the Saturn Aura, that would be sweet.

Can't wait for the "Build your own" option. I'm sure I'll waste away hours building Camaro after Camaro.

I WILL get mine in Inferno Orange Metallic, have always had an "Orange" thing (ask anyone who knows me) and just loved the Hugger Orange Pearl Tri-Coat on the vert concept. My fav was always the '69 Z/28 Hugger Orange w/ white rally stripes and was considering the same (nearly) for my 5th gen. BUT, living in So-Cal, I am considering a vert and doubt a white top would be my choice (or an option for that matter) so a black top would probably look better with black (Cyber Gray) stripes. Hummm, decisions, decisions......
And by the way, I checked my local dealership for an Inferno Orange Metallic Colorado but they had none. So I picked up A Colorado brochure which had 3 pics in it with that color. They ALL looked COMPLETELY different, guess I'll just have to look for one in person.
