MainStreet Cruise-In Saturday in Cleveland

Anybody planning on going to the MainStreet Cruise-In in Cleveland TN this Saturday evening? We had a five 2010 Camaros that went to Somerset for the Somernites Power Cruise last month and had a great time. Here is the link for the cruise this Saturday: http://www.mainstreetcruisein.com/

If anybody is interested in going let me know. We haven't been before, so we thought we'd give it a shot, especially with a favorable weather forecast.

Road Trip in Our Future?

From The National Corvette Musuem homepage:

Camaro Exhibit and Event Coming Soon!
Beginning in October, Corvettes won’t be the only speed demons in the Museum.
A display of 12 Camaros will take over the Exhibit Hall through December, bringing celebrity-owned cars, supped up rides and overall cool Mustang-eaters for visitors to check out.

Some of you might not know this but our Vice President suffered a boating accident two weekends ago. First of all he's OK just a little brused. We postpone this month meeting so he can take time to recover. If you guys have time send him a PM.
Thanks

We need some road trips before the weather gets bad.
Suggestions:
Cruise in, Fri nights, Maryville
Cruise in, Sat nights, Clinton Hwy
Cruise to Somerset, KY www.somernitescruise.com
Cruise to Clevland, TN
Take a trip to a State Park, Fall Creek Falls, nice colors in the fall.
I may be going to www.forgemusclecarshow.com on OCT. 2and.

Any suggestions?

Looks like the car show in Kingsport will be good. I will try to attend.

Also, there is a Camaro event at the Corvette Museum on October 23. I won't be able to attend the event but I will head up north later (late October/early November) to check out the exhibit.

I like the sound of the corvette show. Might be a good road trip.

Vonore Baptist Church is having a car show this Sat. $20.00 to enter. Someone said that they will have trophies for the car club that has the most cars in it. I may go and donate some money. It will be a nice drive. I think Reg is between 8 and 10. I might arrange a location to meet if anyone is interested.

I am meeting some mustangs in Maryville in the morning to go to the car show. I hope I have some company. We are leaving from the old Bi-LO parking lot on 411 in Maryville at 9:00. Go Alcoa Hwy, stay right at the split near the airport. That turns into 411. The Bi-Lo is on the right.

I talked to someone from the Forge show today. They hope to have over 80 rare cars in the show. $10.00 to get in, or $20.00 to enter in the car show outside which includes 2 tickets to the show inside. They will also have an area roped off for Hot Rods cruising in, for the show.

Checkin' in just to say hi and catch up.

SO glad to be back in the good ole USofA!!!!

T shirts were waiting on me when I got back in town, and they are great.

Sorry to hear of our VP's accident, hope things are good.

Ready to get the Camaro out of its short hibernation and go somewhere!

The Museum has decided to cancel this event. We only had 10 people pre-registered. We will, however, still have Bumblebee from Transformers on display through October 27, as well as the other Camaros through December. Sorry for any inconvenience.

Kinda quiet here in East Tennessee.

As is bound to happen with a dailly driver, the Camaro took a hit a couple weeks ago to the left rear quarter panel. Damage was not bad but the repair first time around was not acceptable. The shop that did the work has an excellent reputation, but it just didn't look right. Got the shop owner out to look at it and he was as disappointed in it as I was. Said it should have never gotten out of his shop that way.

Anyway, the redo was spot on, so I'm happy again.
