Skip Shift?
Hey Guys & Gals,
I just joined Camaro5.Com today and am posting for the first time. I'm a long time Camaro owner (1994 & 2000 Z28's and currently a 2002 SS, M6). Yesterday I ordered a 2010 SS/RS, M6, CGM. Does anyone know if the 2010, M6 has the "Skip Shift" that needs to be disabled like on the older models so you can shift to the gear you want when you want? Thanks, |

Yup, exactly the same. I eliminated mine 30 minutes after taking delivery. It never even activated once.
The same 2.2K Ohm resistor trick still works or any of the aftermarket modules. |

You can get the part from your dealer. It's @ $30 and they installed mine for free.

I do not like the Skip Shift either and plan on eliminating it soon.

Excellent thanks for the fast input!
I did find the SLP part ( http://www.slponline.com/view_product.asp?P=21008 ) and LM Performance part (SLP anyway), http://www.lmperformance.com/53552/119.html both for about $30.00 Thanks again, Pete |

Skip Shift elim is a quick 5-10min job that wont void anything, and can alwas be unplugged(removed)....
Some people have issues with it,mine wasnt toooo bad, but I eliminate dit anyways.. Will still show the waring on DIC..but you'll be able to shift the way ya want to..low or high rpm |

No problems with mine so far. Has only come on 2 times in a 1000 miles and I was driving like a spode. Drive it with a little throttle and it won't come on. Mine has only come on when taking off at low RPM and it went right off when I gave it a little clutch and some more gas. If you don't drive it like a little old lady you won't even notice this "feature". Its a muscle car so drive it like one!
