IF NO Bumblebee color is an option?

If no Bumblebee yellow with black stripes is optional will you still get yellow with black stripes???

I really like the Bumblebee in the movie but feel that the yellow on the SS Camaro is TOO bright.

Question: Would you still get the yellow with black stripes or maybe get Inferno orange with black stripes if NO Bumblebee yellow/orange is available?

My buddy neighbor says to get yellow which I like, but I LOVE the yellow/orange Bumblebee color MUCH MORE.

What would you do???

Maybe wait until July 09 to get white with black stripes?

Inferno orange
White
Yellow

????????

^As long as they don't make it look as EmoBee. That would suck to say the least.

And yes if I'm not satisfied with the Bumblebee package I'll go yellow with black stripes. If I feel that is too plain I'll get an aftermakret paintjob similar to the first Transformers movie Bumblebee.

Fbodfather said there are no plans for a Bumblebee package in another thread today. So I don't know how accurate this information is anymore...:(

That would go against what was said in the dealership IDL broadcast. If we can't trust the IDL's.....I'll quit watching them

Is it a matter of trust, or changes between the IDLs? Lately; there've been a few mighty quick about-faces at GM...

Yeah, I wouldn't be surprised if it was changed. Personally, I just want the longer bumblebee stripes as opposed to the shorter ones shown in the CNBC film...

Well, according to Fbodfather there are "no immediate plans to offer a Bumblebee Package" and they only plan to paint three of them to fulfill the contest winners as quoted above. However in the same thread he also mentions the price point we all were discussing for what we would be willing to pay for the package (which was around $2,000) is how much the paint costs alone without the labor and cleaning etc.

Fbodfather,

I don't see how it can be cost prohibitive if GM makes it a package where people can place orders thru the dealers and give a six month waiting list until you get enough orders. I don't see how you guys simply couldn't replace one of the lines with the Valspar paint and streamline the painting in the same fashion as all the other cars are being painted once you get thousands of orders. The cost of labor for painting should be identical to that of any other color. I do understand since you guys are only painting three for the contest that they have to be done manually. However if you can get 80,000 or more people spending $2,000- $3,000 for a package that is basically just the paint job on the V6, then you can replace the color with the Valspar Sunrise in the machines for the painting the same as every other car and do a run of 80,000 or whatever the number of orders are. So you can start this ordering process thru the dealers and give a timetable it must be done in (three months or a little more) and then you buy just enough paint and do a whole bunch at once. I'm not a business major however it would seem that you could do this and really boost the popularity of the Camaro as more Bumblebee's are seen on the road for the years to come..... Just my two cents..

Are black stripes an option at launch? I have seen them on the vert as well as some white SS's but not on LT/RS.

If no package is available and that's what you really want then I don't see that you have any choice but to get yellow with black stripes... Unless you want to turn to the aftermarket.

Personally I'd opt for the paint scheme in my sig, but obviously that's just my opinion haha.

I need to see Cyber Gray with white stripes in person. If the gray isn't TOO dark I might consider it. I want a VERY LIGHT color. Easy to keep clean.

My current car is black.... NEVER AGAIN...

I might get exactly the same as "Your Dream Camaro"

If no BB option then I'd go for either Red, Yellow w/ stripes, or a nice aqua blue.

Hmm, if you want a "very light" color, Cyber Gray probably isn't what you are looking for. I saw it in person this weekend on a new Vette and it certainly isn't a light color, like silver would be.

See if you can find a local Chevy dealer with a Cyber Gray Z06 to look at.

I went to 2 Chevy dealers last weekend and found a Victory Red Z06 and an Inferno Colorado.

No cars were Cyber grey.

The last 3 cars before my current black car were all silver, so silver is out.

Very hard because I really don't like any of the colors available.

White with black stripes is the only color I like, but July 09 SUCKS.

Chevrolet would be foolish not to make a Bumblebee package. It's essentially today's version of the black/gold special edition Trans Ams of the late 70's - everyone wants Bumblebee.

It might take awhile because of that pesky paint. That is some hilariously expensive goo. Instead of having to make the exact same color, plenty would be satisfied if they fabricated something along the lines of a simple taxicab yellow metallic - maybe a little brighter. Afterall, let's look at the reality here, that's about the color that matches Bumblebee's the most. Velocity Yellow is way too vivacious, it leans to the green side of yellow. Bumblebee yellow leans more towards the red scale.
