Camaro SS Vs. Audi A5

My Camaro SS manual with exhaust only vs. 2010 audi a5 3.2 automatic with exhaust, suspension work, and tune. Any thoughts?

my gf is getting a a5 2.0 in about a month...it'll be damn nice. if she got the 3.2 it might be a closer race..

Honestly,.......it doesn't chance in blue hell. Neither car. Naked ice models will skate in hell before that car ever becomes as fast as the Camaro/v6/SS.

Horsepower: 265@6500 RPM
Torque: 254lbs at 3000-5000 RPM. (lol?)

Weight: 3,737lbs manual(without you in it)/3,913lbs (tiptronic)

As I said,.....not a blue chance in hell. The V6 Camaro will lay waste to this car, and easy because of the lack of hp.

Dude, the SS is severe overkill against this car. Even with a new exhaust, better upgraded suspension, and a tune to set it off, this car STILL wont stand a chance in hell against the Camaro. The exhaust, if anything will get it about 5-6 hp gain, the tune will help. But those alone will not allow this car to stand up against a SS or the V6. To stand a chance against our SS, they'd need one hell of a super charger. lol. Headers, won't even put it close to the SS. Let's just leave the car in the league that it's already in, go race a honda civic.

The Camaro is even faster than Audi's S5 Coup which comes with......354Hp and 325 torque. It also weights 3,935lbs.......wow. You thought Camaros were heavy.

Enough mods can make any car quick, but it'll take more than exhaust and a tune for an A5. Audi's have their strong points but they aren't really built for the 1/4 mile. So if that's what you're looking at you have nothing to worry about unless that A5 turns into an R8 and even that's within a few tenths unless it's the V10.

The S5s might be a different story (still think you'd smoke one though), but you have to mortage your firstborn to get one. The S5s are 350ish HP and I doubt they weigh any or much less than a Camaro, but you'll have to worry about AWD raping you off the line and then him shutting down before you catch up. In a full 1/4 as long as you can drive I almost guarantee you'll catch him, but if it's a typical street race and you're looking at an 1/8th at MOST, you may not.

The A5 just switched from the 265 hp 3.2 V6 to the more fuel efficient but just as quick amd lighter 211 hp/258 lb-ft 2.0 I-4 that's found in the Audi TT and VW GTi.

Also some of you that are saying the V6 will slaughter an A4 V6 need to think again, it's closer than you would have thought.

A nearly as heavy(90 lbs less) stock 6-speed slushbox quattro A4 can 0-60 in 6 flat and the 1/4 in mid-high 14s(faster than the 305 horsepower Acura TL sh-awd), with the aforementioned mods he would definenetly be in the low 14s, maybe high 13s.
