Sneak Peak Camaro V8 ACS Front Splitter

Hi guys,

We just completed our tooling and first production run for the new ACS Camaro Splitter. It was inspired by the ZR1 and tuned for the Camaro lines. It is made in our RTM process, so the other side is as nice as the visible surface. Parts come prepped and primed with all the required hardware. Installs within minutes.

Full press release with detailed images will follow next week.

Hope you guys like it ! It is available and will be sold trough a series of distributors.

Stay Tuned !

Here is a head on shot and an image from the underside during installation.
A little confusing, but the other side is as smooth and finish as the top !

I was just looking at a Z06 the other day and wondering if someone was going to make a Z06-style splitter. I like it. How much is it going to be?

Thanks !

These are made in RTM, Resin Transfer Molding. It is a process we have been using for the last 20 yrs or so building hoods for various customers. We are an OEM validated supplier having built most of the 4th gen specialty hoods and even the centenial Ford GT hood.

You can check our site for info on our process

ACS Document

Basically liquid resin is injected in a tool under pressure. Unlike conventional fiberglass we use large presses, injection euqipment, and temperature controllers to eliminate most manufacturing variables.

Parts are already in stock and can ship starting next week.

Side shots below, I don't have one relative to the ground, but just went out and took a measurement, car still has a stock suspension. I measured 5 1/2'' from the ground. I would not worry about clearance, I have been driving it for the past month or so and logged in over 3500 miles with no issues. Been up steep ramps and even spiral parking complex ramps.

Pricing will be announced Monday.

I'll post images of the items right out of the box later this week, part is shipped out in primer grey. All our panels are prepped and primed so there are easily painted.

We are considering getting a lot painted satin black, but this is still to be evaluated.

Put me down for Satin black.

How does it attach bolts or 3M? Any drilling?

Satin finish is still far out, I do know some distributors will be offering in house painting. So this might be a route to consider.

Attachment is done with the supplied hardware, 2 bolts and mounting flange nuts for each extremity and a series of clips.

Installation is simple, part is self locating and set in place by the two nuts on each end, the part is then used as a template to drill a series of holes in the facia. Install the supplied hardware and install is complete.

I would not recommend installing using only 2-way tape, at high speeds excessive force is applied to the splitter and would not have faith in the strength of the tape. Rest assured even if splitter is removed later on the drilled holes are not visible.
