Okay so I saw this for ohio and I knew there was a petition for new jersey so everyone in NJ sign this petition! As the petition states it will greatly help reduce costs in which the plates are ordered, made and shipped...Also the car looks nicer with just a rear plate on...would hate to have to put a front plate on my '10 camaro :-/

haha yeah after my sisters accident we lost the front plate and havent put it on since (its been two years i think) and shes been driving without it...no problems yet but i dnno NJ cops are usually assholes

i signed an online petition years ago. as you can see nothing was done.

front plates do look shitty imo. id like to have an SS grille for my SS but cops would hastle me. funny how most vettes dont have front plates and never get stopped though.

I feel your pain. Texas requires front plates also. Don't count on having them relax the laws. With the new "big brother" cameras the front plates are being used to catch red light runners and toll road bandits.

Online petitions are good. If they weren't politicians wouldn't have them on their web sites. Now, they aren't an official petition without information that identifies each person that signs it. But it is an effective way to communicate a collective voice. No, it may not accomplish what you want unless you are willing to fight to change the law. But it is one weapon in the arsenal.

if it doesnt come with predrilled holes from the dealer ill see how long till pulled over ill figure it out then :p

if im not mistaken im pretty sure all you have to do is have the license plate visible from the front and theres nothing that says you cant put it on the inside of the windshield .. i no someone who has his plate like this and he gets alot of speeding tickets and the cops havent said anything about his plates

NJ has no plans to eliminate the front plate as they consider it a safety issue. How? Yeah, I have no answer for that. This is the answer I got from several officials at NJMV regarding the matter.
