Did you check your DA corrections? You already knew it was cold which likely contributed to your 60-ft times being horrendous but when I looked it up you had a negative DA so it really didn't change much. I would love to see your car do the number, there's just more to it than saying look at my mph, lighter tires will cut this much, and magical track(although I hear ATCO tends to be the places that pixie dust flies). The first time I ran a car down a strip was 1985 and the fastest car I've run('67 Camaro tube-chassis with a 509ci Rat and a powerglide with a 4800rpm stall had a 12-bolt that was 40" side to side, spool and 4.88 or 5.13 gears that crossed the scales at 2600lbs give or take depending on what I ate) wouldn't pass tech these days at a good track, but I still ran it. I have one in the works to re-create it only this one's getting the funny-car cage.

I kinda like the rocket-powered 5k pound grocery getter. Just can't wait for Tracy to get Gretchen worked out. Turbos on our cars are going to be incredible if the fuel issue's ever completely worked out.

They also are working on a supercharger, apparently, which I am very interested in hearing about the results.

I hope some good news come up sooner than later...ive been considering getting a new R/T Challenger - a dealer had one down here asking $25,900, so it did cross my mind pretty heavily.

But all the v6 Camaros running high to mid 13's on N/A power is making me rekindle my love for this car.

speaking of good times, would a few of you fast 1/4'ers post your mod lists? I still feel like I'm in the dark about whats actually working the best on these cars.

Oh okay. regardless though I trapped 1.5 mph higher which is a big deal in 1/4 racing. I trapped 96 on my stock uncorrected 14.3 run. So the same time but I picked up 5 mph, WITH .4 seconds slower of a 60'.

With a better 60' Ill trap even higher.

Good discussion though but we'll know who is right in a few weeks when we hit up ATCO and I have some tires to use.

The facts are that I trapped WAY higher with a REALLY bad 60'. So the only 100% conclusion that can be drawn is that Im making much more power lol.

I MIGHT try power shifting too. Ive heard that can help your time a tenth or two, more so on a turbo car though.

Yeah I checked the DA as well, looks like the best I can run then is a 13.5ish but again we have to wait until ATCO. I was using goodyear eagle rsas. I didnt go through the water I just did the best burn out I could. It was really only street cars out on Sunday so no one was heating the track up. I talked to a few guys with radials and they werent hooking well so I had no chance. I tried everything I could. Slipping as low as 2,000 rpms and it STILL spun lol.

And indeed when I pulled my 2.0 60' on the pirellis I just dumped it at 2,800 and it just hooked. I probably should have tried that, ah well lol.

And hey you guys will learn quickly at ATCO, whoever meets me, Im a real laid back guy I take criticism well. I know I get it because Im really optimistic, thats just how I am. But trust me I take none of this personally lol Im just here to have fun and do my best to put out the best possible numbers for us "V6ers."

INDEED they are. But to recap. At the time I ran my PB, I had INJEN and MRT 2.0 and thats it. I have since added a couple more mods including the drag radials but cannot get back into the 13's. Mostly bad traction. Which is what I was hoping to cure with the drag radials, but not yet I haven't.

That is HUGE ASSUMPTION... I could have had a headwind while you could have had a tailwind! Headwinds can definitely bring down your trap speed in a hurry...

Again, there is a lot more to all of this then simple numbers...

Again, there is a lot more to all of this then simple numbers...

to follow up... looking at the weather data... during your runs looks like you had a bit of a crosswind at 2.5 MPH for the 12:24 run but looks like the winds were calm for the 1:00pm run...

Looking at my run looks like we had an 8 MPH wind that was a bit of a headwind...
