My best times from March 16 at TnT. Temp went from 80 Fahrenheit to about 70 fahrenheit at the end. This event was at night and I have same mods as before.

My runs didn't improve until it started to get cooler and after I made few runs in a row.

I tried adjusting the tire pressure this time. Fronts were 37/38, backs were 30.

I have the GMPP axle back from day one installed by my dealer.

What is considered a stock setup is how it came from the factory, no aftermarket or added GM perfomance parts and running on stock wheels/tires

I'm sure the GMPP mufflers add nothing to performance but it's still not a stock setup.

Just the way it is. Other than that, great run!! Really a very nice run, congrats!

Heat those tires up and work on the launch.

NP. GM makes a GMPP muffler which is not what came from the factory, even though it is a GM muffler. Which is what we were trying to point out.

It is all good thou. Many have been around this neck of the woods for over 2 + years.

yea I def heat them up.

My launches from my previous time post were lot better. I think temps/humidity affected my car some. My only real mod is trifecta. Rest of mods are interior, RX catch can, and RX breather.

Nice given those temps and the humidity we've been having. Try going up a bit more on the front-tire psi (around 40-42) and a little lower on the rears if you were spinning. If you can cut a consistent 2.0 60' then you will be down around 14.3-14.4, which is not bad for the weather we have been having.

Gretchen, you going to come down to Valdosta, GA for Pony Wars?

Tracy is going to come up and I know we'd all love to see your TT LLT put some passes down the track

we'll see. I wasnt planning on it, but August is a long way away, so I might make the haul. Too bad they aren't having it in Valdosta again - that was close for me

I'll see how many people from the SE leg are going...

Here are some helpful tips I have learned along the way.

1. Over inflate your front tires to around 42 - 45 lbs. This will reduce the rolling resistance on the fronts.

2. Set the rear tire pressure to around 30 lbs. This will help with traction.

3. be sure to run 93 octanes. Preferably for the week leading up to the track time. Arrive at the track with a 3/8 tank of gas. Remember (rule of thumb) for every 100 lb reduction is 0.1 of a second faster. Every 10 HP increase is worth a 0.1 of a second too. (THEORY)

4. Turn off all traction devices and do a burnout while holding your foot on the brake. (automatics) Try and get both tires spinning (they both will spin even thou we have an open diff.) and heat the stock Pirellis up.

5. Stage your Camaro with all traction control devices back on. Wheel spin is an ET killer.

6. Hold the RPM's just off idle with your right foot and with your left foot hold the brake.

7. When you see the last yellow of the xmas tree light up let off the brake and put the hammer down.

Don't worry about your reaction time at first. This only comes into play in head to head running not during test and tune time.

Go straight and let off the gas after you go thru the traps at the end. Keep in mind there is a 2nd set of lights for trap speed just passed the finish line so make sure your past this point before lifting.

Slow down and know the local track rules on departing the track.

And by all means have fun. And enjoy the fun of legal drag racing.
This does not apply to my LS. The BFG's do not like heat or less air pressure(at least in both my LS's). Leaving any control item on and i do a qtr mile burnout. I think with the Pirellis you get better bite. Are they 19's?

Some new times from the Super Chevy Show Test N Tune back on April 12th. I left tires near stock PSI this time since I wasn't sure how much I'd be running and knew it'd be cold later that night. Needed to make sure my tires could drive okay in the cooler weather.

Temps went from 70's to about low 50's/high 40's by end of night. I stopped running when it got around low 60's, high 50's because the track wasn't keeping warm with the dramatic drop and for about an hour track was shut down due to a biker crash.

Refresher of my car mods and such. My mods are trifecta tune, rx catch can, and rx breather. I use only 93 octane gas from shell and mobil 1 synthetic oil. I have stock RS 20" P-Zeros. I weighed my car this time. I weighed in at 4000 lbs even. The car follows a strict maintenance schedule for the rear diff fluid, chevron techron, cleaning of the rx breather, and oil changes.

I tried different launching methods this time. Leaving at idle RPM, 1200 RPM, 1500 RPM, 2000 RPM. Traction control on and off. Turning traction off after launching and tires grabbing.

I almost beat a near stock generation 4 mustang gt. The only mods he had were short throw, what looked to be a straight pipe exhaust and catless, and I believe he said an intake. At launch we were close and I was slightly ahead of him until the end when he suddenly started to pull ahead.

Here are my best runs from the event:

R/T: .579
60': 2.116
330: 6.019
1/8: 9.228
MPH: 77.21
1000: 11.989

1/4: 14.336
E.T.: 96.08

Below is my run against the gen4 mustang gt. I am on the left, he is on the right. He was a real cool guy and fun to talk to. Look forward to my run against him now that I have a CAI intake

1/4: 14.394_______1/4: 14.307

The last two times I am sharing are my runs against a 2011 V6 Camaro from my club. He too is a SIM, lol. He has hypertech tune (he works for them and his grandfather owns the business), weight reduction, borla s-type catback, K&N intake, and lighter rims with P-Zeros. He does have big subs in the back though so not sure how much it affects him. He also had a full tank of gas and don't think he runs premium.
