2010 Camaro Wheel Widths

I have a new 2SS coming and I am planning to order some custom wheels for it. I already got the wheel specs of another thread on here as:

Bolt Pattern: 5x120
Offset Range: 35 to 45
Wheel Size Range: 20x8.0 to 22x9.5
OEM Tire Size (Front): 245/45-20 (245x729 mm)
OEM Tire Size (Rear): 275/40-20 (275x728 mm)

However I noticed on the stock wheels from chevy there is always a 1" difference in width between the front and the rear wheels. From Chevy's wheel packages:

20" x 8" front and 20" x 9" rear flangeless, painted aluminum with sterling Silver finish.
21" x 8.5" front and 21" x 9.5" rear machined aluminum wheels

So before I go and spend a fortune on custom wheels, does anyone know if there is a mandatory 1" difference in width on the front and rear tires, or can I just get 22x9.5" for both front and rear and be fine?

They are different for the "staggered" look. You can run 22x9.5 all around without a problem. You might want to check the price of tires before doing so though. Some tire sizes are more "popular" thus cost less. The more odd the tire size, the more $$.

Some are running the rears all around and say there is no short term impact.

Thanks guys, I think I will go ahead and keep the staggered look. This is what I am planning to put on it. Car is black as well, so I think it will go good.

Not feeling those wheels for a Camaro, they look more at home on a luxury SUV in my opinion. Camaro is all about hard edges and straight lines on the body, and those teardrop holes don't really accent any of the body lines. I like the wheel style, but maybe for a Navigator.

+1 Camaro on my wife's Yukon. I think I'll order a set.

Lol, maybe I will order a set for my F150 instead, more I look at them the more I start to wonder if its a good idea on the camaro. Haven't made a final decision on wheels just yet, but most likely going to be something form asanti, mostly black with some chrome accents.
