L99 Tune-gains
Iam thinking of getting a tune on my stock L99 and was wondering what gains I should get with the canned 93 octane ( I beleive 93 is here in Chicago) tunes. And do some more mods down the road. I know I'll want to tune out fuel management (DOD) when I mod my exhaust. /but what gains should I get and which has the best canned tune??

diablosport, bar none. when i just had a cold air intake, i installed the canned diablo tune and gained 15 hp. i added headers and exhaust which added another 29 hp BEFORE retuning. i re-dialed in my fueling after the header and exhaust install and gained an ADDITIONAL 5 HP! so i gained 20 hp from just the canned tune with the fueling dialed in. since then i opted for a custom tune from a CMR dealer and i am still dialing in the part throttle fueling and will do another dyno run after im done to dial in the air fuel ratio at WOT for maximum hp.

That sounds good .. I like to find out how much extra the custom tune will give you over the canned tune .. I might be happy with just the canned tune because I still want the car very driveable. Also did you Dyno after each mod and tune??

Our typical gains are 25rwhp and 28rwtq with our CAI and tune package. The VMS stage 1 trans calibration is worth 2 tenths, with even greater gains with stage 2. We have remote tuned over 450 A6's and I feel we know these transmissions better than most.
