PROJECTOR HEADLIGHTS FOR NON RS MODELS?

Obviously the stock headlights for the non RS models are halogen reflective lights.....are there any places that are producing replacement housings or actual projectors to put in to turn the headlight from a reflective to a true projector light?

Let me know!!!!!!!

Has anyone been able to successfully convert the non-rs car to rs headlight?

I believe there is a thread or two about it. I want to say OUSoonerGrirl (or something like that) had hers done. There are a few shops that are doing this as well.

Then again... maybe it's just the halos

Yeah, alot of talk about how expensive it would be and I recall a few threads in the past talking about it. If someone has done it successfully would like to hear from them.

Not sure if it's worth all the trouble but if anyone figures out how to wire it up I'm sure alot of people would be interested.

The projectors I bought for my Charger were like 160 bucks with working halos installed already. I am looking at Projectors with Halos for my 99 Camaro for about 180 bucks. I hope a company makes some housings like that for the 2010.

$1000 is pretty good considering: http://www.gmpartsdirect.com/results...mber=pkehidkit Wants $1,176.97 for them. I may have to hit you up when I get some money. I'm an owner of an LS and really want HID/ Projectors on my Camaro.

I thought you needed a special program from the factory to make the factory HIDs work and that GM isn't so keen to give out the program.

That is pretty misleading considering that the lamps won't plug in, and even if you splice all the wires together, you wouldn't have high beams, and then you would fry the bulb because the DRL is still trying to come through the low beam wire at 10 volts.

They really need to take that down or put a disclaimer on it that it won't work on a base car.
