Thinking About buying this Camaro. PLEASE HELP

This is the ebay listing in which I did not win, but the seller contacted me and told me that the person who has one hasn't paid yet. This will be my first Camaro any advice is greatly appreciated! I am looking to spend around 9,000.

Ebay Listing:
http://www.ebay.com/itm/161388309136...84.m1562.l2649

He stated that the trans, suspension, brakes, rear end are stock. The motor was just rebuilt and has aftermarket intake to adapt to the carb. The motor is out of a silverado.

"Small chip above passenger side door, otherwise perfect" Great.

Isn't the wiper motor 2 speed electric off of a dash switch ? - sellers looking at the washer/sprayer discharge ports on the washer pump and saying the vacuum hoses aren't connected and thats why the wipers dont work?
Is he the one that rebuilt the motor?

I believe he rebuilt the motor? I am just a little hesitant about the price. Plus I have to pay shipping

I've had a stack of Camaro's and Firebird's since the 1970's. That's a decent price, pending actual inspection. I personally would not buy a car like that sight unseen, though I know people do (I had a guy buy a 1969 Firebird off me from Ebay once and he had a car hauler pick it up to take to him across the country). How far away is it and what will it cost to transport it? You might want to just watch local Craig's List ads. That said, it the car checks out okay, that does not seem like a bad price.

The car is on the other side of the coast probably going to run me about 1.2 just to transport.

I think I might hold off like you said since I can not inspect it and also shipping will cost arm and a leg

Yes... At the current price, it is an okay deal. If you add on transport, you are over paying. You would be surprised what you can find if you keep looking locally. When you find someone who needs a quick sale, you can often get a great deal on something further completed than that one.

I don't know about where you are, but almost every car being sold where I am is on Craig's. I'm not particularly a fan of CL, but it is heavy hitting when it comes to finding used cars. You can search Ebay based on your location, but Ebay fees and such are really a horrible hit on the wallet... CL is free.
