I shopped around all over the state and in a few others and he gave me the best price for ordering my 2012. I got my 1SS with RS package for 33,905 before my discounts. Which i have found is below the suggested MSRP listed by GM on the website for the options I chose. I'll find out the final price officially when they send me the VIN. But so far they blow away everyone in the state and they have great customer service.

Selman Chevrolet in Orange, CA gave me the best deal. Most salesman are not respectful to kids and he was very respectful even though I am only 17. Honored the $1000 private offer without any questions. He told me that they lost money, but are willing to do it if I spread the word. You wont regret it if you are in socal. Bought car for $2377 UNDER MSRP PLUS the $1000 private offer.

That is standard fare when demand far exceeds current supply, hopefully that will change 2013's

It is interesting that 2013 GT500's are selling for list price in my area.

I can only think of 2-reasons, Ford has not had any production delays thus full allocation to Dealers, and/or the demand for Mustangs is dwindling while Camaro is gaining.

If GM made the same statement that Ford did "they will build as many as there is demand for" that would stop the gouging dead in it's tracks.

however to me a ltd production model means I will not see one at every street corner, plus 100% better reliability (see TruDelta) makes the ZL1 tops in my book

Just left Starling Chevy in St Cloud Fl today ; where I pre- ordered my vert in 10'...@ $50 over dealer invoice... saved about $1500 under MSRP when most other dealerships were charging $5k OVER MSRP...

They have 1 ZL1 on the showroom; blk/blk rims, suede package, non CF hood... same deal- $50 over dealer invoice: $56,800. Other local dealers asking $10k over MSRP.

Yes it is. Anything above MSRP is gouging. Have they added any value above and beyond the factory to warrant the increase in price? A scented pine tree perhaps?

RK Chevrolet, in Vineland, helpfully added $995 for, they say, "nitrogen inflated tires." And to think I've been slumming all these years, riding around on air.

I didn't speak to them on it, so I don't know if that's all they're asking.

Car is black, with the carbon hood and aluminium wheels. First ZL1 I'd seen; looks tasty!

They gave me invoice pricing on my 2013 2SS/1LE. I am still waiting for my production week, but they have been good to deal with as of this writing. The order went in pretty fast, and they got me in the first production week for the 1LE, which is a feat in itself.

However, if you don't mind buying over the internet, I highly recommend Becky at Rodgers Chevrolet ( (866) 468-5067). She is definitely great to deal with, and very knowledgeable. If I did this over again, she would be my only choice.

Bought mine at $3400 under MSRP, Champion Chevrolet Hwy. 6 Houston. Great bunch of guys. They threw in the embroidred carpets, embossed Camaro cargo mat, cargo net, spare tire and RS embroidered armrest/console lid for free. Couldn't be happier with my car. The experience was at little shaky at first but the General Manager James Hagan is top notch people and that goes a long way with me. I will buy from him again, I can see a 2013 Equinox LTZ being driven away from his lot by my wife in the near future.
