Customized doors
The first mod i make to my camaro will be throwing butterfly or gull wing doors on it. I want it to look as much like a transformer as i can.

I think the "gullwing" will be a very difficult MOD if there is no top frame on the doors like all the past Camaro's. The butterfly wings wont be that big of a deal. They have kits that don't involve much cutting and allow you to do "normal" door open/close or lift ou then up.
Here is one place that has a video of the automatic kind. http://www.thehoffmangroup.com/autol...inc=lambodoors Less than $1500 based on a 2002 Camaro Last edited by dayvedayve; 08-21-2008 at 10:28 PM. |

![]() When they are done right they look cool. When you just add an extra set of hings so the door swings out, then up... thats just lame. |

OMG that is so cool, but I am betting the insurance companies would have a field day figuring out the extra cost you gonna pay for "Structual integrety" loss like when the 3rd doors came out on pickups.

normally i would be inclined to agree with you, except lambo doors can and do open straight out, then up or they can open straight up.

you might want to inform the company that you had a link to that they are in fact selling "butterfly" doors because they are selling them as Lambo doors.

or all bandages Bandaids. They shouldn't call them that but then nobody would recognise them as Butterfy doors. Remember most "ricers" don't have access to butterfly door stickers but can sure as hell find a Lamborghinni decal/badge somewhere. JK Not all the cars that have those factory/aftermarket are to be made fun of. Some are just a way to customise some really nice rides. |

That's because they can afford to have a combo door. Because they thought ahead. Maybe you don't have a very high ceiling clearance and would like to get out of you car, and then maybe those damn Ferrari drivers like to park right up on ya for fun and you gotta go straight up.

Thats is exactly what I was talking about. If that would have been me, I would have waited until both vehicle owners came out and said " I already called the cops, they are on the way. I have your plate numbers and now I need you Insurance information. You damaged my car and I am going to file a claim."
