oem gound effect package

just purchased the car and the ground effects package and it looks like a grey plastic on the color black car. should the come painted black?

You have to pay to get them painted.
I like the look of the grey on a black car.

is unpainted GFX on Black.
Post # 140 is painted GFX on Black.

You can see the difference painting the GFX makes.

I paid $500.00 which is about what everyone else is paying give or take $100.00.

just dropped the car off at the dealership. their charging me $685 because they have to take them back off the car first.

Just ordered by 2LT in Summit White - was going to go with black rally stripes, ground fx, and beige/tan interior. Thought gfx were black, then found out they were dark grey and were meant to be painted. Dealer was going to charge me $1200 to paint them (yikes). Now I decided to stay w/ Summit White but silver rally stripes, unpainted gfx and grey interior. Wish I could "see" it somewhere besides the Build Your Own link on the Chevy website.

It's an injustice to not have those ground effects painted to match the car. GM should have done it from the factory, it boggles my mind as to why they didn't.

I agree with you 100%.
I would have definitely ordered the GFX if they came painted.

IMO I think they look best painted to match but mine are the grey on IOM it looks ok but it will look better with the RAZZI SS KIT!!!!!
