Firestone Firehawk AS???

I daily drive my 2010 Camaro SS about 30 miles a day to and from work, all year long. I'm in middle TN, so we don't get a ton of snow. My Parada Spec-X's are about gone... so I'm needing new tires soon. A family member that works at Bridgestone contacted me and let me know that he could get me a set of tires for 50% off if I found a set of Bridgestone/Firestone tires that fit my car. I found the Firestone Firehawk AS tires.. but I've heard mixed opinions on them. The Firehawk Indy 500 tires have had better reviews it seems, but they also are 'summer tires' and don't come with any sort of warranty.

Opinions on these??

Thanks in advance!

I can't speak for the AS tires, but I had a set of the Firehawk Indy 500's on my '96 Z28. They were very smooth riding and quiet tires, I had no complaints with them at all. When it's time to replace the P Zeros on my SS, I'll probably get another set of the Indy 500's. For the money, I don't think there's a better deal around.

There are better options but for 50 percent off these will do just fine. Hard to beat that deal.

When ordering online please reference "Rudy/Camaro5" as your previous contact. Please click on the link in the sticky thread at the top of wheel and tire forum so the forum gets credit for the sale.

tho's tires are very hard to find as they are on back order. If you want Bridgestone/Firestone you may have to change sizes.

You could get s001 in 295/35r20 and 255/40r20 that would work but are not really an all season...

I've studied the tire reviews for the past year and the Firestone's are probably OK. For the price, I think you can't go wrong.

FWIW, I just ordered and received new GMAX AS-03's from tirerack. Maybe not as good as the Continentals, but a much better price.

Just ordered G-Max AS-03's as well through my local dealer and should be installed early next week. I've dealt with them a number of times so the price was comparable to TireRack, but a big thank you to that website for the reviews that they do. They helped me a lot in my decision.

I had a situation where I had to replace both driver side tires so just replaced all 4 to firehawk a/s. Only have 15k on them and still plenty of tread left. Just as good wet traction as the Hankooks I replaced. I think they're a great tire for the price
