i plan on keeping our R6P. i'll put a TVS on it along with what i've already done and be content.

BUT......if GM puts an LS7 or LS9 in the Z, i'll be trying to get that too. but if it's the supercharged LSA Z28 i'll pass.

Comes down to price for me. If the Z/28 is $40-45K, I could justify that. Don't think I would spend over $50K for it though.

Heck No, at least not yet. I just turned 1807 miles on it and it is just starting to come alive! This car is just plain awesome.

You know I don't know why people keep saying this.

A supercharged SS:
1) is aftermarket, it will not be as valuable as a Z/28 to the used market because many people don't trust the reliability of aftermarket, nor the reduced prestige of a lower priced badge
2) has SS badges and appearance - doing up a lower priced model just makes it look like the owner can't afford the higher end model (regardless of whether the mods cost more than the higher end model). How many base BMWs have I seen with M badges stuck on them - makes them look like cheap posers despite their intention.
3) cannot be insured by most insurance companies
4) is not warrantied

?? People say that about their 150HP Honda. "Why would anyone need more that 150HP? You're silly".

Personally I would keep my SS reasons why:
1) I ordered my car with everything I wanted
2) I wouldn't care if it wouldn't be as valuable as a Z28 I would still put a supercharger on my Maro just to know that the Z28 couldn't mess with it
3)The SS badges I like I think that the SS should have still been the top Dog like the old days.
4)Cannot be insured by most insurance companies (since when)
5)Is not warrantied(Forget stinking warranties)
