Riding the rails ...

OK, so my car left Ontario yesterday morning at 9:00am ... I called the CNX information number this morning and the automated system told me it arrived in Battle Creek MI this morning at 2:30am and no other info was currently available.

Since it is now within the continental US, is this the point where it changes to another rail-line? If so, can someone "in the know" give me that phone number to trace it from here on out? I believe I saw it on another thread somewhere, but I'll be damned if I can find it now ...

Also ... if anyone else in So Cal has traced their cars from these points over the past few months, can you tell me how much longer I can expect to wait before it arrives locally?

Thanks in advance ...

I expect Union Pacific is the people you should call, since its going to Cali. Their number is in one of the stickies at the top of this room.

I have looked and looked for it, and I know I've seen it before, but I just can't find the thread.
I found the website link ... but not the phone number ...
Anyone have it handy or can re-post the link to the thread with the phone # for Union Pacific? Is the process the same as when calling CNX? With the ETTX and then the car number ....
Thanks again ....

Thanks .... I found that .... but I thought I remembered also seeing a list of phone numbers, too .... like the 800/235-2352 for CNX ....
If my car is being transfered to Union pacific since it is now on US soil, I thought I needed to call another # to get any further info ...
Perhaps the numbers can be found on the websites from the links on this post? My computer at work has so many firewalls, that I can't get to that website from here ... Hell, I'm lucky I can get on Camaro5 ....
Maybe I'll give it a shot when I get home ....

Your autorack will travel by Canadian National to Chicago, then transfer to either Union Pacific or BNSF. Trains travel about an average of 100 to 150 miles a day. Chicago is the most congested rail network in the world. Transferring from CN to whoever could take a week.

Wow, our cars are on the same train! I checked the status this morning and it's exactly the same as yours.

I had the same question as you though.

Thanks for the post.
