Noob winter tire question

I just got my 2LT RS and purchased a set of Winter tires from TireRack. Would you guys recommend I change them myself or take it somewhere.
If take it somewhere, where?

thanks

If you got the tires mounted and balanced on wheels from tire rack, swap them yourself.

Just use a torque wrench to ensure you torque the lug nuts per factory specs, to avoid the possibility of warping rotors.

I agree with SRM but if you know a reputable tire place bring them there.
Also you need to find a plce that has a machine big enough to change out the tires

17s for the winters, 20s on the car. I got them mounted on the rims with the sensors at tirerack. I'm nervous about screwing up anything with this car. I'm not much of a ca guy yet. But willing to learn.

I assume it is the standard package they suggest when you first pull up winter tire and wheel packages on their site. If it is, please post up some pictures so we can see what they look like installed. I am thinking about going with that package...sounds like a great deal!

As far as the install.....I would do it instead of paying someone. Not that hard at all, plus you don't have to worry about transporting the extra set from the tire store.

Not if the overall diameter of the tires is the same, which it should be if it was a TireRack recommended set. It will just be a higher profile tire than the OEM tires.

Bottle jack would be best to keep handles away from the body.

Wrench at Sears.
