Towing company charged me 6.00 per mile and total distance of 32 miles vrs the whole 38 miles. So they only were free to 6 miles........BSThey told me it was only after 20 miles I would pay. The truck driver said 6.00 per mile. I said it was a little high but since only 12-14 miles from dealer I would submit the overage to my insurance Co. They told me that they have now have to submit a special exception claim because they overcharged me even.... as the going rate was 3.50 per mile from 4 other chicago tow companys.......WTF....

When I broke a half shaft I called Onstar. They told me it would be free to the nearest chevy dealer. I wanted it taken to the dealer I have my services done at. They told me I would be charged for any mileage over 20 miles. It cost me an extra $99 for the extra 22 miles. I kept the receipt and sent it to Allstate. They reimbersed me the $99 on my Platinum Allstate insurance, which includes roadside assistance.

looks like the wheel and brake part came in contact with each other. Dealer might try to say the damage was caused by the incorrect wheel dimensions. Clearance may have looked okay when u installed the wheels but there are different situations that you have to take into account to make sure there is clearance regardless. When you pulled up, did you happen to drive over a speed bump, etc.?

Dealer just called and is ordering new bolts and also New wheel. Everyone please check your bolts as they are not admitting anything to me. The dealer is Fantastic but Road Side assistance still is a farce.....

congrats, dealer is taking good care of you. Dealer still has to write up the issue and you will see it when you get the print out receipt/work order when you get the car back.

My dealer is awesome they made up for all the hassles of Roadside ASSistance. They replaced the bolt and ordered a new wheel and checked and road tested everything. Ron Westfall Rocks.......
I have the write up and everything is documented. Thanks everyone for your support. New wheel will be here next week.

To make things worse the bulls played like butt! I went to the game too, although I am not so brave to bring my camaro to the UC, even if it wasn't January. I bought my Tahoe from Ron Westphal, I enjoyed my experience there. They were laid back and not all over me. Unfortunately, its a little bit of a hike for me to get my chevys serviced there, so I stick with Talty in Morris. Glad everything is getting fixed up, and even better that you are safe. Hope to see the car at one of the next Chicago 5th gen meets back in working order.

Did you leave the attendant an extra 20 to watch the car during the game?
