A few times per week I log on to Camao5. Always review the Summit White forum as I enjoy looking at white Camaro's, modified or not.
Camaro's are easily personalized and that is but one reason I love my Camaro.
I posted pictures before but will post again. My 2011 2LT:
2LT Summit White with beige leather interior.
Auto Transmission.
Optional 19-polished rims.
Front clear bra.
35% window tint.
Removed side Camro script.
Removed rear bowtie & painted rear blackout satin black to cover all edges.
Removed front bowtie and replaced with grill fill.

Great lookin car. My white LT2/RS was ordered just over a week ago. Almost went for the same interior as you but decided to go a bit crazy with the orange leather.

I too want to add the clear bra and tint the windows. Could you give me your thoughts on the bra on white? Like it? Issues?

Thanks..
Jeff

here's a few shots of mine. I really like the color theme on it. just took the oem spoiler off (for sale if anyone needs one) and got the springs on yesterday :]

mbrp exhaust
roto-fab cai
pfadt lowering springs
rpi stealth mudflaps
window tint
various vinyl pieces
spoiler solutions 'dale earnhardt' style spoiler

few more minor pieces coming in and I am done for a bit. clear sidemarkers, solo high flow cats, and still deciding on powdercoating vs new wheels.

definitely get a clear bra. it hides really well on white and will keep your front end looking new for years to come. I've seen 2005 vettes that look untouched on the front. I wish I would have, I've already gotten too many chips for it to be worth while at this point. maybe a few years down the road it'll be time to respray the front and I'll get it applied then.

Okay, so I heard many owners have got issues with the white on the bumpers and the white on the body not matching. I discovered last week, while having my car in the shop for repairs and body mods that the rear spoiler (once taken off) has a sticker on it's underside stating it is Olympic White instead of Summit White. This could be the problem with the bumpers not matching color as well. Gives the impression that parts were painted wrong at the manufacturer. Anyone else have this issue that could shed some light?

summitSS- This has been discussed before. Olympic and Summit whites are the same paint code therefore they are the same color. All the body parts on my summit white SS match perfectly. Mine was built 08/04/09 but I think some other builds and paint batches may not match as well.

I think the mismatch seen on bumper covers is the flex agent in the clear coat. I believe it ages to ultaviolet light differently than the metal parts. My original rockers have an Olympic White sticker on them. Yes Summit and Olympic are the same paint code. I had paint mixed twice in painting my GFX. Both batches match the paint on the metal parts of the car perfectly

the match on mine is pretty bad as well. they are painted at different stages and the bumpers are made out of different materials so a 100% match isn't really possible.

You guys are beginning to worry me- is this a current issue with mismatched paint/body panels? I've got my 2SS vert ordered in Summit White; I was on the fence between white and black, im gonna have some serious issues with GM if my $50k car does not match! GM is NOT fixing the grossly discolored models? How frequent is this coming up?

I know the camaro factory is getting the cadilac treatment and upgrading in their paint process.. but they will likely always paint the bumpers in a different stage then the rest of the body.

it's not just white that this is an issue on. just an easy color to spot the difference on.

I had no issues on my 2011 Summit White with miss matched paint. Perhaps the issues of miss matched paint show up on earlier 2010 models and improved on 2011 models but that is only a guess on my part. I do not read the other paint threads to know if other colors also had some problems. All I can say is this is my fourth white car and I find white to be very easy to maintain. Dust, polish swirls, light scratching over the years have never been an issue with me. As a designer myself, I have a critical eye for very small details including color variations.
Regarding the clear bra, I only had it applied on the bumper, not across the hood because I did not want a ridge. You have to look extremely close to know the front is covered in film and the film had to be cut in many panels to fit all the sharp bumper edges. You need a very experienced installer. My installation was even more difficult as the front plate bracket is rivited on, not screwed on so the film had to be cut around the plate bracket. Bottom line I am very happy I had clear bra applied to the front bumper.

i dont buy the excuse that plastic painted is going to be a different color than metal... THATS WHAT PRIMER IS FOR! if you throw the same base on everything and then paint it with the same white, wouldnt everything be the same color? this is 2010 and we cant get a car painted the same color all around? ridiculous.
