Great job. A person from Yorba Linda, CA was looking for a Test fit car to do the same thing. Think he was doing for production, and to sell them. Great DYI you did.

Brilliant idea, well executed as well. I do have a question.
I am a little unclear how its mounted in the bottom of the door?
Did you remove the metal at the bottom in the size of the cover plate?
Thanks.

I believe I mentioned this to someone else... But the problem with those bulbs is that they use multiple LEDs. Multiple light sources = blurred projection because they go throuh the stencil at different angles.

I just need ONE good LED or bulb.

Very cool mod OP. Very innovative! I would love to try this, but I'm having problems cutting up my car right now lol. Perhaps in a year or two =D

But good job and good results!

Thanks, all the cutting is hidden so even if you DO mess something up you can't see it

nice eye! its a great knife. I really miss my benchmade Pardue tho

***UPDATE TO THE MOD***

i wanted a brighter LED so i searched all over the place and found a great deal from a company in China

120 lumens per LED! (a maglight with 3D cell batteries oputs out 77 lumens...)

they are 3watt LEDs pre-wired with a heatsink for 12V. i just disassembled the bulb casing and took the LED and heatsink out.
